I figured we needed this as a counterpoint to The Venting Thread. This has perhaps a little to do with pulling a 50-claim pitcher off the waiver wire.

Six players in the All-Star Game, four starters going a combined 7 for 16 and accounting for six of the East All-Stars’ RBIs, plus POTG honors for my catcher. Not a bad showing! ^.^

We had seven players make the ASG, against all expectations. That makes 28 players we've had up there in the four seasons (3.5 technically) since I took over. Which is nice.

Didn't win the 70+ waiver claim on the 15 POT pitcher last night, but it happens.

I went from 5th place to 2nd place during the cross-division play.

And... I totally expect to go on a losing streak now that I announced that.

This might need to becoming the Jinxing Thread xP

Middletown Mustangs on the a surge, winning 8 straight and closing the gap from 12 behind down to 4 back! All this had been done while the team has gone to youth, starting no less than 7 new young players.

 This game.

“Iron Man” Brent Melton and Josué Bueno combining to throw a one-hitter, with Player of the Game going to Russell “The Hatchet” Jonsson on the strength of a 4-5 night including three runs scored, five RBIs, and hitting for the cycle. Now that is a game worthy of me writing up a press release. ^.^

I won the lotto for the first time ever!!!!

Never won a player even remotely this talented on waivers, unfortunately he is 32, but still should lock up any uncertainty over whether I would promote.

Raleigh would like to introduce Andrian Sexton.

Hmm, dissing the league. You just made me a Jacksonville and Minneapolis supporter. I wish I had the arms to fight, but I don't. I've had lots of guys with great skills who simply suck and there's nothing I can do about it. Go Jackapolis! (Careful. That almost comes out as a curse word.)

What in the actual...

I aced waivers last night, get this:-

P Okajima - 154 claims (14 POT)
P Farmer - 15 claims (13 POT)
P Brake - 11 claims (13 POT)
P Kadlec - 76 claims (14 POT)

Wowzers. If you hadn't guessed already pitching was a huge weakness for me. Not any more!

One time through the six-man spring rotation and we've given up just eleven runs. My major league pitching is not very good at all. The youngsters might be teasing me with hope, but I'll take it.

@newt- Sexton might be the worst 16 POT possible. Lots of defense, lefthanded thrower and lower hit and power skills. But good for you for grabbing him.

@garf, yeah, the more I look at him, the less enthusiastic I have become. I still think he represents a defensive upgrade at SS over my current options, even with the left handed penalty, and I just hope he can continue to get on base against righties. He will exclusively platoon at SS against righties since my SS last season batted ~.210 against them, so he should be better than that... still trying to figure out what to do versus lefties since my SS last season was even worse against them.

In other words, even if he is the worst 16 imaginable, he still represents both an offensive and a defensive upgrade over my current SS, so I'll take him.

Meh. Izquierdo looks to be the better defender (no lefthanded penalty and better range). I'd feel comfortable playing him against lefties.

Sexton is definitely by far the better hitter.

I actually think you may be surprised by Izquierdo's production in the future. His terrible bat control certainly limits him, but I could see him OPSing .700+ in the future, which would be fine considering he has a gold glove defensive build.

I do love range, but the 14 fielding which I believe has maxed out precludes him from ever being a gold glove build at LL II or Legends. I was more bullish on Izquierdo before last season's black hole offensive performance (note: around the all-star break he was actually batting around .100 so his final numbers actually reflect a decent second half). A lot is batted around about which would be better, but I intend to find out...

I had one roster spot open going into last night's claims and had three guys I wanted. The top SI guys were desperate attempts to help my horrible pitching staff right now. Both had low claim numbers, including one with just 3. My third claim was on a high schooler with 39 claims that just got rejected by his drafting team. I liked him quite a bit, so was considering making another cut to ensure I had space for him. In the end, I talked myself out of it figuring there wasn't much chance of me hitting him or the others.

I watched the claims live. Caputo with 13 to Pomono. Watch, I'm going to land the silly expensive Marini. He only has 3 claims. Here we go! Nope. El Monte's shelling out the serious dough. Dang, I really need a pitcher.

Tick tock tick tock. What the heck?! Boom! I land the super slow Villanueva with 39 claims! He projects to be the best bat by far for me from my minor leaguers. I sure wish I could actually see him play. I'd love to see him hit a liner in the gap and pathetically try to get to second. 6 speed, 4 range. What's his primary position? Shortstop. Ha! Right. You're moving over to the hot corner, Emiliano.

Hey my team threw out 2 base runners at the plate in the ninth inning in a game today. That was neat!

They were both infield force outs with the bases loaded, but it was still neat none the less!

EDIT:
Both fielders who threw out the runners at the plate are rated "outstanding in the field." It is nice to see that outstanding defense show up so dramatically.

I managed to get this guy on waivers last night. Frankly, I'm surprised he had as many claims as he did (34). He looks like a LHP that's going to send balls over the wall far too often, like almost every lefty I've ever had. However, I'm hoping for some good karma. He was released by Everett, which is a line drive from my home. And even better, his birthplace is Mililani Town, Hawaii. Surely claiming a guy from the Cup's victory town the same day they win it all has to bring him good luck, right?

Sanchez makes me happy.

Yesterday he registered what must be close to the ultimate save.

After weaving that bit of magic he finally succumbed and surrendered his first earned runs of the season (a blown save almost as spectacular as the save the game before).

Its ok Danny. :) 0.46 ERA is fine.

And while dsz071 is aiming for Broken Bat history over there in VI.7 West, I’ll settle for “Wheels” taking over the VI.7 all time lead in runs scored. He’s got plenty of time to take the VI.7 all time lead in doubles before the end of the season, too; he only needs eight.

You pretty much have to know what your players’ POTs are, yeah. You can also math it out after a training update if you’re not sure; the POT on a player translates to a maximum SI of POT*8 to POT*8+7.

Another example of Robinson being Robinson again. If you don’t feel like clicking, he literally pitched a complete game-and-a-half — fourteen innings worth of refusing to give up the ball. It’s hard to get this kind of game from guys still in a pennant race, let alone after clinching the division. And then Rodriguez followed that up with a four-hit complete game shutout. The bullpen might be getting bored, but at least they should be nice and fresh for the last two series.

A 15-2 start! 8-1 in League play and 7-1 Cup (I think we were 3-6 and 2-6 last time around).

Team rank up to a franchise best #65 overall!

What to do next? How about firing your manager?!? :)

Was tough to let Leo go, but I've really noticed some of my young pitchers either struggling in their development or hitting the very bottom of their POT range. Don't like negatives in reports, but he was one of the best (and youngest) managers around (and quickly found a new team).

But from Leo to Lloyd we go. Was quite a shock to see a manager of that caliber available this morning so jumped all over it.

Can only go wrong from here!

Not crowing about a draft pick but about what happened in my cup game today.

Top 3rd: Lake Oswego
Iwamura takes the mound to pitch.
Rush strikes out.
Chiang flies out to left field.
Davenport hits a single to right field.
Vernon hits a single to center field. Davenport advances to second base.
Walker hits a home run to right field of 348 feet. Davenport comes in to score. Vernon comes in to score.
MacDonald is hit by the pitch.
Takata strikes out.
Lake Oswego 3, Independence 0

That's right, Ralph. That's what I like to see! You show him! Now everybody knows what's going to happen when you give up two singles and a dinger after two outs!

Falcons Ace Chris Hopper has been unstoppable recently, so he's getting a plug here:

http://brokenbat.org/player/139624

Hopper's last 3 starts have resulted in:
25 2/3 IP, 6R (0 ER), 3 BB, 8 K, a .154 BAA, and a .662 WHIP

One of those wins came against the BB great Thunder Bay Red Raiders in cup play, where hopper was pulled in the 9th one out shy of a shutout when he tripped his pitch count.

Hopper didn't hit it off with Falcons management during last year's acquisition and he saw some time in the bullpen in 2041. Reevaluating the roster before 2042, his talent stood out and the two parties were able to make amends. It's been a glorious ride for Chris in 2042!

Our pace fell off a bit since the last update, but for the first half we're at 62-18 with a +258 RD and a 20 game lead. The team BA is .307 and a .914 OPS. ERA is 3.67. I know it's just LLVI but still worth crowing about.

We'll see what LLV will have in store for us, and hopefully it isn't relegation.

I had a hard time figuring out why Benito Martinez was the player of the game after he went 1-4 with a solo HR...so I did a little digging.

Lo and behold, I noticed he threw out all four of the opponents' attempted base stealers in the game. On further inspection, the speed of those four runners was 18, 18, 17, and 15. Not a bad day behind the plate!

Huron was on the verge of sweeping us in four ignominious games when Galvez said Nah:

Huron 5, Goldsboro 3

Bottom 9th: Goldsboro
Wagner comes in to pitch.
Arteaga strikes out.
Alonzo draws a walk.
Edmondson grounds to third base. Alonzo is thrown out at second by Nolen. Edmondson reaches first on a fielder's choice.
Triplet hits a single to center field. Edmondson advances to second base.
Maya hits a ground ball single to short stop. Edmondson advances to third base. Triplet advances to second base.
Galvez hits a home run to center field of 401 feet. Edmondson comes in to score. Triplet comes in to score. Maya comes in to score.
Huron 5, Goldsboro 7

Then we pull out a nail-biter in Game 5 to send it back to Huron for a must-win Game 6.

A big shoutout to the newly dubbed "Rookie Pitcher of the Year" in VI.24, Quincy Hale!

http://brokenbat.org/player/177713/L

Quincy joined the Falcons after they won the 61 claim pool on him just before the official start of the 2042 season. While being sought over like that can get to some young talent, Quincy got right to work in AAA, making 7 solid starts there before getting his call up.

What happened next was nothing short of sensational:
9-5 record, 151.2 IP, 3.92 ERA, 1.457 WHIP, and 94:68 K:BB ratio. And he's shown a tendency to get the much coveted ground ball, which will help with the occasional walk he'll give up with that small "control" blemish on his otherwise glowing scouting report. What's more, all of those numbers were trending in the right direction the second half of the year.

What started as a "Let's see if we can get this guy a few spot starts" approach turned into "My my my, what do we have here?!?". Mr. Hale packed on no less than 22 SI in his rookie season, and we look forward to seeing what this RPOTY can do in his Sophomore season!

After all of this hoopla, the word around VI.24 heading into 2043 is that Mr. Hale is going to be randomly selected to be part of Broken Bat's new PED Testing Program!

Stewart how lazy, you didn’t even steal a base. That was three touchdowns and a field goal score right there.

Good point Ced. Maybe he's already eyeing free agency and wants to prevent lower body injuries! I've had him set on "++" steal the whole time and his success rate is good, but it's up to Wendell to get his timing down and start pulling the trigger a bit more.

I pulled up all NP's including those under contract and ranked them by SI. I knew he was good but didn't realize he's like top 30 all active players good. It's going to be one heck of a payday whenever he starts making salary demands so I'm saving my nickels now.

I want him to be a lifetime Falcon but you know how baseball is today. If he comes in with Scott Boras as his agent I'll know he's got one foot out the door.

I’m going to single handedly keep this thread going I guess, just like my league forum! I guess it’s because I like to crow more than I like to vent, but I’ll sidestep the Falcons recent plunge after being eliminated from cup play and prop up our Ace chris hopper for his 2nd complete game performance. They both occurred in his last 3 starts too. He’s sitting at 9-3 on the season and he’s clearly trying to lock down his 4th overall all star appearance, which would also be his 3rd in a row. Not bad for a 32 year old!

Sometimes there are players that make you reconsider everything you know about this game. Such is the case with Espinoza for me. Granted, it's only minor league data that continues to blow my mind, but he's an enigma to me. He's now had a full year in the minors, including AAA now. His pitching skills are 8-6-9-3 for a 56 SI total. That's low for the average AA player and, as I stated, he's been throwing AAA this season. Despite his 3 control, he has only walked 49 batters in 127 innings. That's not good, obviously, but it's fantastic for 3 control. That's about the only bad thing about him.

ERA 2.33, BAA .194, 1.136 WHIP.

I have no idea what I'm supposed to think about the guy. He's only an 11 potential, but he is destroying down on the farm.

Maybe he's a Grasso. Grasso was great at the top level for more than a decade despite pitching his whole career in the 11 pot band of the SI spectrum.

Whether it's due to under/over scouting, hidden variables, or just statistical anolomy - it's the guys like that, rather than the 120 SI monsters, that really make this game interesting.

2 seasons ago at this time I was thinking about cutting this guy: http://brokenbat.org/player/140777

He was about to turn 31, his skills started to decline, I wasn't actually happy about his preformance in the last 6 seasons at that time. Especially ERA >4, BAA around .280, WHIP of around >1.4. I had a bad gut feeling and only kept him around because I had to wait for my young pitchers to arrive...

Boy, am I happy I didn't... :)

Now he actually exploded in the last 2 seasons. 2 x all star & all league, got even Cy Young in the last season, won 19 games in both seasons, ERA slightly under 3, WHIP about 1.175

Pure luck or have there been such cases in real life?

That might be it. But I don't think its ever a good time to drop a fully developed 26 year old. If you are going for gold he is valuable, and if you are rebuilding he is valuable. With the hometown discount, 2.5 M is really not that much for an ACE... You aren't going to get a better deal, just a worse pitcher to replace him with...

He was dropped because the owner doesn't like pitchers with fast ball under 10-12.

Theo had a big week on the training side (a fiver in all of the pitching categories). Between that and the 3 out of 4 quality starts in spring ball, and him being my next blue chipper after Stewart and Doug Ward, I'm thinking he's ready for a shot at the big league rotation:

http://brokenbat.org/player/217746

Just curious but did i screw up his shot at 2045 RPOTY by bringing him up for 3 starts last season? I'd do it again in a heartbeat, I want to get this guy as many reps as possible, I'm just curious if he's still in the running or not.

More a special-interest story than a crowing, but seemed like the best place for it.

Calvin Ellis comes back home for likely his final season in Broken Bat: https://brokenbat.org/player/161784/L

Underdeveloped at age 24 in 2036, Corvallis moved on from Oregon-native Ellis. But he was given a chance by a couple of owners (technically same team since age 25 but ownership has changed often) and carved out a respectable career. We picked him up as a two-claimer. May not get much leash, but would be fun for him to have a decent season in relief and end his career back where it started more than 10 years later.

After 3 years of strong teams ultimately being bitterly disappointed, 2046 belonged to Sacramento. The Solons led the league in runs scored, and fewest runs allowed, set a franchise record for wins, and finally, finally got promoted.

I am grateful that Fern got the Triple Crown and tied the team's home run record. He is now 16th in all time home runs for the team in a career, pretty good when you consider he is only 24 years old. And yet the fact that he has averaged well over 1 rbi/game the last couple of seasons might be more impressive.

At long last, we are promoting to division IV. Our offense has a great young core with several more years. I worry about the age of our pitchers but we have a lot of pitching prospects so I'm okay with that.

I don’t know how but The Falcons just keep grinding out wins. The competition is definitely stiff in LL.IV this year. We are a strong team and have some star players, but it’s definitely a team wide effort too, especially pitching.

I hope we can keep it up down the stretch!

Kelvin Clifton is probably my savviest pick up this season. An old falcon draft pick from darn near the Paleolithic era, I noticed he was available this year as a 34 YO and decided to fork up the money for him. He’s been pretty serviceable at the round robbin position I like to call 2B.

so I’d heard that managers can make a difference.. i’d moderately believed it.. been through 4 in three seasons, including one that got me promoted from VI to V.. but like a newbie owner.. I wanted to see if the grass was greener.. thought I was smart.. made bad decision after bad decision.. Started this season, had a great RD, in the neighborhood of +50; but I was 15-20 games under .500..

And then, I found this guy..

http://brokenbat.org/manager/3622

He has been fantastic for me.. Making the right pitching moves, getting my defensive alignments in better shape, and just.. kicking ass for me over the second half of the season.. I have high hopes this guy can help me move up some levels over the next 4-5 seasons..

Anyway, just wanted to put this in The Crowing Thread, I. thought it was an appropriate place.

good luck to all!!

Former 3rd round pick Louie Evans scores his third consecutive MVP! We also add a pennant to his repotoire.

In addition, a player who entered the Vikings farm system on a waiver claim (with just one other team submitting a claim) just got named all-league at 2B! Caudill had three bad seasons, but finally put it together at age 28.

Two other all-leagues in Bouchard and Zelaya, for Bouchard that's his first and for Zelaya that's his 2nd, despite having a down year.

Now to hold on and get a first winning season and first positive run differential season since 2042.

My 2nd year, we knew was going to be better than my debut (49-111), but I didn’t want 100 losses again. However, going into the final weekend, we were 58-99. However, a new manager who has 4 OFF but 19 FLD, 11 PIT, 17 DEV, 10 PITDEV, 10 FLDEV, led us to a sweep of Charlottesville to close out 61-99! Woo hoo!

Got the MVP for the 4th year in a row.
Yet the oddity is that it has been 4 different players:
(Impy, Fern, The Walrus and now Prath)
Unfortunately only 2 of those players remain.

None of it matters tho b/c my pitching is still horrendous (5.8 runs/game last season) and I fell from LLIII.1

For all the complaining I did all last season, I'll say this: I only did that 'cause I knew the team had potential. I still feel like I underperformed, but I'll take this:

Best W/L record since 2025 (Tied with 2027), and first 90+ win season since 2027.

Best RF since 2033, best RA since 2027.

Best run differential since 2025.

Highest team ranking since records began (Ranked 422nd, yay!)

Highest team rating since 2021 (0.57 below that). This is the highest the team has ever been ranked with an owner.

I just need to not regress now and I know I can do this!

Jets star McNeely swats 2 HRs in the final game to join the Legends 40-40 club! 40-40-40 if you include doubles, too - wonder how many other players have achieved that feat (I believe Soriano is the only one to have done it in MLB?)

Turned a tidy profit of $380,243 and feeling pretty good about not losing 4 million like last season :)

A 3 mil profit was nice, and going from 45-115 to 71-89 in encouraging.

Happy with a promotion while continuing the profitability.

Profit of about 30 Million over the 3 season I had them, going from last to first.

I really benefitted from inheriting a really good developing group of pitchers, but hey, that I still ran a plus and can now up the income in LL5 is flipping great!

Considering I got a team which at the start of 2047 was at -10 Million, getting to + 34 Mil now is fantastic. Just hope I don't run out of steam too quick.

A nice 4.3M profit over here and 65.2M in the bank. That's what you get when you play a lot of young players for a few years in a row!

Also, Carson Sprague made his 3rd straight All-League team! 4 All-Star and 3 All-League in 4 years since we've made him a closer, not bad!

had a pitcher win the Cy Young, the gold glove, was voted to the all star team, named all pro, and also pitched for the Colombian national team.

THE absolute best closer season the Ravens have ever had. Ever. If Bonds doesn't get an award this season, I will shake my fist angrily at the BB gods.

lostraven - I don't know what Bonds has been taking (LOL relevant joke), but I'll have some of it! I've seen guys with great minors numbers absolutely fall apart when they hit the bigs, but Bonds has kept it up despite having no report worthy of the name, he's an absolute outlier - congrats!

@amalric Bonds has indeed been the oddball, and in some ways he has me second-guessing my pitching strategy (but only a tiny bit). As is currently, if I draft this, I'm like "yeah, not messing with that" and drop him.

Strangely enough, Arlington gave him multiple shots, however, and I saw this and said, "eh, ok, I'll roll the dice, I occasionally see these stamina-only guys work out."

And then he proceeded to continue to do well in MR. I dunno'. Would he get squashed in II or Legends? Probably, but he's been a true oddity. My belief there's a back-end modifier (no strong evidence to support it, however) every season that positively or negatively modifies performance leads me to believe this season he rolled high on the random seasonal modifier.

EDIT: WoOt! Bonds won an All-League! Also, props to Vargas and Hernandez this season! Let's go, Ravens!

My team suffered a disappointing 1-0 loss yesterday, which brought an end to our 18 game winning streak. And as a bonus, during victory number 17, https://brokenbat.org/player/193433 Toledo hit his 400th career home run

Having a team-best 13-game (edit: ended at 15) winning streak (in the years playing this game, I don't thing the Ravens have ever done that). Of course, that means the Ravens will cataclysmically fail the last month of the season, but we're taking our victories where we can get them.

For all the blunders I make playing this game, I want to at least crow when I pull a fast one and get away with it.

8-8 before last cup series. Facing 12-4 team.

Go 1-1 in first two games. Okay, they're 13-5, they're safe. Check cup rank. I am 9-9, 1 game behind, but up by 5 in run differential.

Okay, let's go for it. Set in strongest lineup instead of the cup youngsters. Get two shutouts two end the series. Make it into the knockout of the cup by a margin of 8 in RD.

Oh yeah, it's all coming together.

If I end up cutting Hathawayafter the season, he'd stand as the only Doubleday to hit over .300 for his career here. That's kinda wild as he's always been a bit of an afterthought in my plans for the team.

Haselrig - I thought that was a crazy stat, given all the success Novi have had over many seasons. Then I checked my history - I have exactly TWO guys who have hit over .300 for their careers (under me), and another who hit .299! I figured it would be more, for both of us.

All three had a Hit tool of at least 19.

Ya. Harder than it looks. :)

Dinos have 3. One is a "legacy" player (circa 2001).

The other 2 are currently on the roster (Lovato, Wallace).

How can you even tell that info? Looking at my teams Alltime stats Career Average board, I have two guys over 300. One is listed 3rd and the other is listed 18th... So it doesn't seem like this board is working, LOL.

Yeah, I was surprised, too. I think in Hathaway's case he got lower usage against the top league pitching and feasted in the lower leagues. Still strange that even legacy players didn't do it here in pre-historic times.

I'm not sure the info is available for legacy players. But even if it was, there is no way to see it.

BTW, you know that Feliciano has a career .314 AVE for Doubleday right? he is #12 on your all time records, and an active member of the team.

At least one of my guys with a career .310 only had 13 Hitting. But he retired in 2004, so one of those legacy players whose stats are suspect.

I don't think its even the top 20. I have a few guys with REALLY low averages on the board. Also noticed some guys are just straight out wrong. Zhang (11686 ABs) was listed as .311, but he was actually only hit .280. At least in league games. I doubt it changes that much for all official games. So that stat board just seems to be completely bugged.

I just want to take a minute to give one final salute for my closer Mateo Solis's effort in 2059.

https://brokenbat.org/player/202442

Not only did he dominate cup play leading to a cup win, but his last Save of the regular season was his 638th which makes him #2 on the all time Save list!

He needs another 127 to make it to #1 overall, which is very doubtful at 39 years old and the wheels clearly falling off. However, to paraphrase world renowned racecar driver Ricky Bobby: "With the advancements in modern medicine and my high level of income, who knows?!?"

Zhang was listed as .311

Those stats will only reflect what was accomplished with your club. .311 looks correct for what Zhang did in Haverhill. His work for Homestead doesn't count.

I'm not sure he made it to 3000 ABs with Haverhill tho. I think the AB requirement is what causes the most noise.

Eg., on Waterloo's list:
#9 Tate, .277 (3300 ABs)
#10 Huffman, .292 (2900 ABs)
#11 Hall, .320 (2600 ABs)
#12 Pennington, .274 (4100 ABs).

Why the algorithm decided to slot Huffman and Hall in between these 2 is mysterious.

I get earlier in BB history it was hard finding guys with 3000 ABs. Not so now. Maybe the algorithm should be changed to make 3000 a hard minimum now.

Edit: I missed Hall initially. :)

If .311 is correct, then he should be on the top of the board. It makes no sense for these players to be listed not in order. Really the .311 probably shouldn't be the number listed. What if the player hit a career .380 AVG, but after you picked him up as a 34 year old he had two seasons of .270 ball? Does he even show on the list? The list is quite disjointed right now. Does it want to be a list of player career numbers? Or team performance numbers? Needs to choose one and stay with it.

It's the AB problem I mentioned. Zhang has 2757 ABs with Haverhill - below the 3000 minimum for the list. So he got slotted between 2 guys who had 3000+ ABs that are in numerical order.

I don't quite follow your example. Is this what you are saying?
Team A: 15 seasons, .380
Team B: 2 seasons, .270

If so, he should be on Team A's list, but not Team B's list.

I think it works the way it should. BA shouldn't function differently from the counting stats like hits and HRs. And it wouldn't make sense to use counting stats accumulated with a different team for your team totals.

In different news: I would just like to congratulate my team for getting nearly half-way through the season, with a new manager who ain't hood at pitchers, and still sit with a team ERA of 3,01 and a BAA of .211.

Nice work gang.

Shame that we're still the second-lowest scoring team in the league, but hey, who needs offense, I guess.

Found this guy for one claim on waivers 2 years ago. Thought he could be a solid backup 1B before later realizing he could fill my need at 3b. Went up to 13 potential the year after I picked him up and Bowie looks to become a solid 3b in our system.

Needed to mention this before the streak gets broken, because although we are 19-12 and in first place, our RD is only +14. We’ve had some tight ball games, and thankfully we’ve had a great closer. http://brokenbat.org/player/337465
13 games, 13 innings, 13 saves. Oh, and 0 runs allowed. Wait, he’s now out for 11 days.
