Press Releases:

Apr 13 2052: José Murillo hits for cycle - by electriceel883 on October 9th, 2021

He is POTG for the second time this season, leading the team to a 9-7 win over Lake Forest

Mar 06 2052: Dissension in the clubhouse - by electriceel883 on September 27th, 2021

Players are grumbling that new acquisition Floyd Bailey's salary exceeds the highest paid long-time Pepper, Nakajima...not to mention established stars such as Hodson and Shockley. He wasn't the only player to get a hefty ransom. Harvey got a raise of nearly $1M dollars. When asked for comment he said "Well I am the ace"! and there were crickets in the clubhouse. Manager Burgess said "a little fire helps us focus on the season. If pride cant drive you to do your very best on the field, hate certainly can."

Jan 13 2052: The Peppers announce the hiring of Manager Burgess - by electriceel883 on September 18th, 2021

The front office declared today that there must be improvement in the teaching of fielding on the diamond and the coaching of it. In furtherance of that aim, 32 year old Rhett Burgess replaced Spittin' Scott Vann. He also comes in with a strong reputation of managing pitchers and hitters. We wish the best to Scott, who guided the team through a very long season. He likely wont be out of work long.

Nov 02 2051: Murillo, Alderman recieve votes for ROY - by electriceel883 on September 17th, 2021

Alderman led the team with 14 QS.

Congratulations to both!!

Oct 18 2051: The Mayor wraps up 2051 Newcomer of the Year - Pitcher - by electriceel883 on September 11th, 2021

Alderman was cheered by all 3 members of the "Spicy For Life" Fan Club, who made the road trip to Waco to cheer him on, as he made his final start of the season. Always willing to take the ball, the Mayor missed no time due to injuries and is in the top 10 for innings pitched in the League with 212. Which I assume will get him a nice bump in pay!

7-15, 212 IP, 14 QS, 1 CG, 3 POTG, 4.88 ERA on the season.

Other Award Winners as follows:

Pitcher of the Year - Drew Harvey

6-1 (4), 109 1/3 IP, 2.30 ERA, 2 POTG
