Press Releases:

Jan 15 2033: New Owner, Manager, Mascot, Location, & Experiment! - by Alyksandur on July 22nd, 2017

The 2033 season is going to see a new direction for the organization, and more than one, if new owner Alyksandur has anything to say about it.

After contemplating a number of potential locations (including remaining in Summerville, South Carolina and, to other team owner Wickersty's dismay, Deadwood, South Dakota) and names (with Pandas and Vultures under consideration), the team finally settled in Boca Ration, Florida as the Gulls.

Besides moving south, the team hopes to be moving upward in the league standings. Just not in a typical fashion.

"Most team owners won't even look twice at the 11 POT players," Alyksandur said in the press conference announcing the change in ownership. "I know that higher POT players translates to better quality teams; that's just basic math, easecially if the players hit their cap. I just think that, with a bit of care and planning, a team of the right 11 POT guys can make a good showing for themselves. I want to see how far they can go."

Alyksandur has already cut a number of players who aren't 11 POT, and plans to cut the rest as the team signs free agents and once release restrictions expire. He does plan to exempt players in the future whose careers started out with 11 POT projections.
