I think I'll never again try to get one through the pitcher's pool. Best potential 11 and that one with only good overall outlook. I feel like I've just wasted my 1st round pick. https://brokenbat.org/player/364911 |

Thinking the only way to find another ace is through the draft, so I gave it a shot. Draft board had three POT 13 pitchers with very good overall. I picked the 16 year old lefty, because lefties are tough to find in the free agent market. Óscar Gonzales |

Three 14POT, three 13POT, one 12POT, two 10POT, and one 8POT. No one had very good overall potential, which was a little disappointing, but is a minor complaint. There are still plenty of rounds to pick up someone like that. There were only two choices with good+ hitting, above average+ slugging, and good+ potential. One was 13POT Roman Natale, the other is the guy I picked. I took 14POT Ariel Borrego, one of the hottest prospects this year coming from Venezuela. Good arm, good bat as well, he has speed upside. Only issue with Borrego, and the entire board the Defenders had today, is he has an awkward build for SS. It does not matter too much since I have plenty of middle infielders. I will most likely train him for 3B but we shall see. Overall, it was good for first round standards. Hoping for more quality guys next week. |
