Went to the trusty college pool as usual. Need a SP, but left a 14 POT VG potential one with good scouting comments on the table due to platoon splits, very low CoS and a HR problem.

Ended up with a 3B/C type, which is also a need so I have to be happy.

Went college. Very disappinting board. Just one 13 and not a good one at that. That being said, I think I got a decent P, and P was biggest need

Yep, Stowe is good. Better than the pitcher I described on my board, and I would've strongly considered taking him over Watt. Will be an MLB starter for a long time.

Went with a Pitcher board and wound up with a strikeout pitcher who could be a starter. Stats aren't encouraging but the rest of the board was totally garbage - all above average potentials

Went pitcher pool like usual. I'm skeptical with the awful HR rate. But it's a 14 pot with solid comments for a reliever type pitcher

First draft since a long hiatus from Broken Bat, excited to land a 16 POT from the HS pool. I'm guessing I'll play him at SS, unless others have a better idea..?

Yeah, SS all the way. But you should have enough time to train him elsewhere too given the caps at age 17.

Atrocious HS board for first round. Eh? Looks like a RHP platoon in LF, at best. Might not last long on the team.

https://brokenbat.org/player/301982 Got him at 17 - so he's now trained to 2 in SS, 1.4 2B, 2 in OF. Not much intention of playing him anywhere else than SS, but good to know I can if needed. If you got a good player, its nice they can go into a lineup at several places. Also helps when you get other prospects that they can move around.

https://brokenbat.org/player/283249 Trained him in OF, which is where he now plays so pure C can play in my lineup

Went SS pool. Passed on a very nice 15 (who likely was a RHB 1B - 13 range, 11 arm) for Carlson.

Carlson has a high floor as a SS, and his age trajectory fits well with current SS White.

Not our selection unfortunately! Garcia was picked one pick ahead of our 12 POT DH. ;)

I had 2 good options, 16yo 52 with 15 potential or the 20 year old 92/14 I chose. I felt their reports were similar enough, and this guy was probably going to be Major league ready at least 5 or 6 years earlier, so he seemed like a better value: Ken McMurray

10/9/8/9/14/9/15/18, good hitter, decent slugger, solid in the field, 2b/ss. I feel like he could play any position pretty well.

Right now he is recommended for A, which I feel is pretty promising for a high overall eventually.

Passed on Guyton Burke, if he is drafted I'll be keeping an eye on him, so far nothing shows up: https://brokenbat.org/player/334463

Went with the catcher pool, because none had gone! Eh. Lot of good arms but no standout prospect, took Hightower who was the only power guy on the board.

I was honestly almost a little disappointed, because I also had a pretty juicy-looking Pot 13 Pitcher in the pool, but I mean... I can't turn down a Pot 15.

He's even already fully trained as an OF, so I can get some early coverage in on him.
