All League: Kirkpatrick for 1B and Wyatt for LF.

Wyatt winning was no surprise, but I'm kind of shocked Kirkpatrick won, considering the pretty average season he had. Must not be any good 1Bs in the league.

Wyatt also finished 4th in MVP voting.

Toca won his 3rd gold glove for SS, no surprise there.

Cordero came up just short for Rookie Pitcher of the Year, it came down to IPs pretty much.

Also had pitchers finish 4th and 5th in Cy Young voting.

How well did you all make out in awards?

Armando Quinonez was the lone award winner for Boca Raton this season, being the VI.30 Rookie of the Year for the 2033 season.

My team won their division which is nice. Our 1B finished 3rd in MVP voting which was great since we usually have nobody listed among the top vote getters. We had the 3rd and 4th place Cy Young finishers and typical we have someone among the finalists. As usual, no rookie of the year candidates and no rookie pitcher candidates as well as no gold glove players. My team usually doesn't win many awards.

Oh geez, where do I even start? I've kinda got the whole embarrassment-of-riches thing going on over here. I'm not going to try linking all the players while I'm stuck on mobile, just check the VI.7 League Awards page, but I will list them all off, at least.

Cy Young: Caesar Rodriguez
MVP: Yoshio Sakai

Gold Gloves: Benito Ramon (3B) and Julián Lemus (LF)

All League: Literally half the team. @.@
Justin Robinson (P)
Caesar Rodriguez (P)
Eduardo Rosario (1B)
Yoshio Sakai (2B)
Julián Lemus (LF)
Jung Hwan Lee (RF)

*hangs head* The lone winner from my (comparatively) awful season: a Gold Glove starting pitcher. Wee?

We had a terrible year, but managed 2 awards:

2B Ryo Shimizu, a mid-season waiver pickup, for Rookie of the Year

SS/RF Quintin Skinner for All-League

Wait a minute Shimizu won RotY? I was the guy who cut him originally, to try to reduce the number of poor-fielding middle infielders in my system.

UUGH WHY DID I CUT HIM THOSE ARE SOME AMAZING STATS

All-League
1B: "Tomahawk" Zachary Thomason

Gold Glove

P Luis "The Rock" Rosa
1B "Tomahawk" Zachary Thomason

Rosa came in 4th in the Cy Young voting in Legends, but Seca did say it was an "extraordinary season for pitching" in Legends which I will take solace in...

Shimizu: Yeah...his bat was great...I haven't decided what to do with him long-term b/c his glove is sub-par, but I am being relegated to VI so I might just let him kick some balls around if he keeps hitting.

Rafael Ortiz

Keeps on truckin', fourth MVP award. I nicknamed him "MV3" after his third MVP award following the 2030 season, and although MV4 doesn't quite have the same ring it was the least I could do. I'm hoping ageing is kind because I'd love to have him around as long as I can, he's the heart and soul of my team. I do have a replacment for him in AAA who is a great hitter with a much better glove, but there's almost no way he'll produce those numbers.

Cy Young in his rookie season, are you kidding me? That's some nice talent with Aragon.

For the Phoenixes we have:
Sly with his 2nd Cy Young in a row (and definitely not last)
Cazares making his 1st career All-League team
Benavides with his 2nd All-League to add to 5 All-Star selections at 1B

We had one guy only in the post season jones.

Chin Mae Park took the Cy Young while leading the league in ERA and Wins. Also was All League. Promptly lost his spot on South Korea's international team.

16 seasons played, and got my 3rd rookie pitcher award. And another gold glove for catchimus prime Schneider.

Mostly posting just to say how much I like the awards. I think I enjoy them even more when they are controversial. :)

What? Thay guy? Really? C'mon.
