Served up 3 grand slams against the second worst team in the West. Peppers NP newcomer of the year Reuben Mesa, finished the year 1-24. Peppers P Newcomer of the year Luis Cantu, 1-hit Lewisville for 4 innings and then loaded the bases and gave up a grand slam. The Peppers Owner obviously SUCKS! |

I inherited a pennant winning roster when I joined, and piloted it to 100 losses in my first full season. Was a good season for Waterloo. We had no placement objectives. We wanted to get Flynn to 2k hits (✔), sort out the pitching mess (✔), and get a new manager (✔). Missions accomplished! Quality is too high for us to compete for MVP or Cy. But I believe we have the frontrunner for RotY, and a strong #2 for RPotY. |

I'm just pretty happy that we won the playoffs against the Stillwater Stallions 4-1! V League here we come! I'm also super pumped for our not-yet-a-rookie Martin Brady who had a .417 AVE and a 1.167 OPS in his 5 regular season games, and .500 AVE and 1.333 OPS in his two playoff games! I'm also super pumped for our not-yet-a-rookie Martin Brady who had a .417 AVE and a 1.167 OPS in his 5 regular season games, and .500 AVE and 1.333 OPS in his two playoff games! Regardless of where you finish there is excitement for the next season. Holes to patch, rookies to blood, new challenges to face. It's a little unfortunate there are 3 full weeks between league games (for non-playoff teams). Admin did mention exploring ways of truncating the off-season. I hope that is something we see. It can feel like a long stretch. |

League V is going to be sweet! Hero of the series was Ronald Bishop, who through 2 starts had a 2-0 record, a 1.53 ERA through 17 and 2/3 innings, and who was scoreless through 16 2/3's of those. In the 8th of Game 6 he did surrender 3 runs to tie the game, but the offense came to life to score 4 in the top of the 9th, allowing him to go out. Nearly had two complete games in the playoffs, both wins, and only one inning with ANY runs scoring, allowed or not. And this is the guy I spent two season complaining about with regards to consistency! Man, my pitching has suddenly come good. I think my starters had an average WHIP of like... 1.2 or something in that neighbourhood. Also a huge congrats to tamale and the Jets. Very interesting series, that. |

The mighty Boulder remains a huge obstacle to our ultimate ambition of winning the Legends pennant and with this golden age of Twisters core beginning to age out, we might have already missed our shot. That said, I feel like the infield trio of Leblanc, Duarte and Jo all have at least another good season left in them, Aragon has developed into an excellent C, Agosto has blossomed into everything we could have hoped for at CF and at the plate and Underwood and Reid remain solid vet options. 22-year-old Morton was a nice surprise coming into the DH role and all three of Connell, Sakurai and Galvez emerged as legit Legends SPs. Our bullpen was quite good, again, although the league leading 28 blown saves were frustrating. The farm is thin, though, so it feels like 2051 will be championship or just. We also finally added some pitching to the minors. The biggest move came in letting go one of the game's all-time managers, Monroe. Our struggles in recent years have been due to a combination of bad luck and then lack of talent, not coaching. Letting Red go 1/5th of the way into the season helped us save $5M salary - and even then we only made a $1.2M profit. If not for money he'd still be on our team, but we got a good replacement in Espinoza. There were few highlights on the field. Our hitting was decent highlighted by Meyer's breakout season, setting team single season records for AVG and OBP. But after that there was nothing to shout about, and the pitching was awful. Most of those guys are developing but it remains to be seen if they're any good. As always changes will be coming in 2051. |
