He has a strange build indeed, but he'll be a very good CF/RF (and leadoff if he steals, let's see). Definitely my best position player in 2-3 seasons. |

On a different note, I had 3 very goods to choose from for the first time since the introduction of 10 draft pick slate, unfortunately they had virtually identical reports: above average-decent slugger, decent-very quick speed, and below average to no report on fielding.

Had three "good overall" prospects to choose from in high school this time, all three position players with "good" hitting. At least, this time "good overall" actually meant 13p. Unfortunately, projecting Carson Ingle's skills... I guess when he reaches the majors, when you look up "mediocre" in Wiktionary, you'll find a link to Ingle's profile. |

Didn't have a single pitcher to choose from! Thought I'd remembered the name of the outfielder I passed on in round one and couldn't find him in a search, so thought I'd go College yet again to see if I could pick him out. No joy. No very goods either, and only three goods amidst a whole lot of crap - and the 'best' of those turned out to be a catch and release. Haven't had any joy drafting middle infielders but given how my first three picks went this year I have little reason to complain. |

I can't complain honestly,my last few years have been really good drafts for me. Things were bound to balance out

I'm excited to see how he turns out. Edit: he has a 20.4 rating. Don't know if I've seen one that low. Just interesting. Still a great prospect to me. Updated Friday, July 29 2016 @ 9:06:06 am PDT |

The first pick I'm happy with this season. My system is too heavy on pitchers, but I couldn't pass by this guy. |

Mig2015 Joined: 06/17/2015 Posts: 162 Inactive | @Rock Congrats!!! Finally got one. For myself, again I was looking for pitching. Went high school and there was one very good potential, and two good potential pitchers! (The hitters were forgettable) I was thrilled to see a very good pitcher survive until this point in the draft. He was a no brainer. I was praying for a 14+ POT, but it turned out he was a run of the mill 13 POT. Not the greatest build, but at this stage, I'll take an average 13 POT pitcher. I would like other people's opinion on this; should I be doing more to improve my minor league pitching or are they alright? I have 6 12 POTs and 6 13 POTs now. Here's a link to my minor leagues. Tiger504 Joined: 06/17/2014 Posts: 1314 Kalamazoo Bloody Tigers III.4 | @mig2015 You certainly have enough minor league pitchers. Especially for a guy with a relatively young staff and 11 pitchers on your majors roster. I like using 11, plenty of depth without overcrowding. You probably wouldn't want or need to bring more than 1 or 2 pitchers up a season. I'd say 6 in AA is excessive and you could thin the herd there by a couple of guys easily. I doubt you'll want to break in 6 guys close to each other. But it may also depend how confident you are in their futures. Since your pitching pipeline is pretty full, you could probably concentrate on high school types. Avoid college. Keep the pipeline flowing. |

His arm is a bit low for my taste, but it certainly looks to be his best position. @amalric7, lol, nice pun, but he'll have to earn it. With no speed and no power, Hurricane might be a bit of a misnomer |
