Pitchers have struggled, somewhat expected with a few rookies but the whole theory with moving to Yakima was that it should be more prefer friendly. Maybe we go back to Boulder next season!

The two franchises put together eerily similar stats: Kodiak Mules 28W 22L BA.270 OPS.771 ERA 4.03 Pierre Jacobins 29W 21L BA.274 OPS.772 ERA 4.03 Best of luck to all of my new opponents |

Kodiak with a solid +22, and Pierre with a poor, but much improved in the last several series -17. Not sure what happened but some of the usual sluggers stopped hitting home runs. And pitching department while one of better in the league has a bad knack for allowing the big ones. |

The Revolution's 20ft-high walls may have something to do with it! |

But I wish it would slow down the allowing home runs *facepalm* or so was the reasoning behind the decision to raise the walls last season. But the abysmal home record versus a good road record seems to indicate the changes were contrary to the teams benefit.

The Raiders stole one in the opener coming from behind for a 5-3 win. In the second game, BigBoy Martin reminded everybody why he's the Mules's ace going all the way for a CGSO (a league leading 4th of the season). In the rubber match, Kodiak's best ERA (Cedillo) faced Redding best starter (Capasso). Mules manager "Boiled" Epps tried a sleigh of hand, filling the lineup with 9 LHH. Cedillo took a perfect game into the 7th, only to blow it all and take the loss. At the end of the series, the Mules are 2 games behind, but there's full confidence in our rotation, and in the young hitters who are earning their at-bats in high leverage games. At the same time, we're looking forward for the old expensive hitters momentarily riding the pine to provide the team with an extra push to the promotion. Congrats to Rebuilder, waiting for our next match up Updated Sunday, June 2 2024 @ 11:55:28 pm PDT |
