Geech Joined: 01/12/2014 Posts: 579 San Luis Obispo Turtles IV.8 | I missed the first half update for inter-division play, but I do have the complete numbers. I suspect the results aren't going to be terribly surprising for anyone following along: The West won significantly with 194 wins to 166 losses for a .539 winning percentage. All of the West teams except one were above .500, and all East teams were below .500 during inter-division. It was kind of remarkably consistent. The top team was no other than my SLO Turtles at 37-23 and .617! The runner up was a three way tie with the Cleveland Heights Bobcats, Modesto Millionaires, and Pontiac Panthers all at 35-25 and .583. Congratulations, guys! Interesting tidbit, I used to regard the east division as stronger. However, this is the fourth season in a row that the West won ID play in my division. I checked, and the West won 7 out of the last 10 seasons in my division. Is the West now the stronger division in general, or has my experience been an anomaly? Here are the complete numbers: Updated Friday, August 9 2024 @ 5:27:49 pm PDT |

Geech Joined: 01/12/2014 Posts: 579 San Luis Obispo Turtles IV.8 | Here's where things stand heading into the final division play "cycle" of the season: 1 San Luis Obispo Turtles 83, 61, .576, -, +165 2 Mission Roadrunners 82, 61, .573, ½, +6 33 Cleveland Heights Bobcats 81, 62, .566, 1½, +51 4 Modesto Millionaires 77, 66, .538, 5½, +9 5 Pontiac Panthers 68, 76, .472, 15, -53 6 Walla Walla Wolverines 53, 90, .371, 29½, -125 1 Greensboro Blue Jays 75, 69, .521, -, +82 2 Brewer Ravens 73, 70, .510, 1½, +52 3 Wichita Shockers 73, 71, .507, 2, +52 4 Normal Knights 68, 75, .476, 6½, -84 5 Kenosha Storm 64, 79, .448, 10½, -74 6 Sheboygan Samurai 63, 80, .441, 11½, -81 Both races are very close, but the West is an absolute nail biter right now. Dropping two out of three to Pontiac today was incredibly painful. Seems like they've always caused me more trouble than I expect this season. We really need to work together to stop the Mission Roadrunners, you guys. I don't want to lose the raise to anyone while I have a huge edge in run differential like this, but if the winning team is a bot team, then that is even worse. |

Geech Joined: 01/12/2014 Posts: 579 San Luis Obispo Turtles IV.8 | We're 2 1/2 games up on the Mission Roadrunners heading into the final day of division play, and I'm finally feeling pretty good about our position. We just need to win one of our last four games. If we win just one, then even if Mission win all of theirs they would only tie with us and we should win the tie-breaker with our run differential. | ||
