Mills threw 65 and as you can see, shut us out. Is there an inning reached, in this case the 6th, that invalidates that? |

I'm thinking his first inning is set very high (perhaps at seven), resulting in the game going to the closer. According to the description of the algorithm in the game manual, the closer decision does not look at the starting pitcher's pitch count. Danielson appears to have an extremely low pitch count himself, never throwing more than the low teens in pitches. So, once Danielson hit his PC, the game went to Dyer to finish things out.
