the gizmo Joined: 02/07/2013 Posts: 574 Inactive	Nobody has clinched League V9 East yet With around 20 games left the top 4 teams are within 21/2 games of each other in an exciting end of season division race It does appear that the Vero Beach Gulls will be the first team to be eliminated as their season ending slump continues after being in first for over half the season

newtman Joined: 11/02/2013 Posts: 3343 Inactive	Dunwich has been slipping over the past week after going on a ridiculous tear for the middle third of the season. I'm now 6 back in the VI.1 East, and have a 4 game series with Dunwich today. If Dunwich splits or better they effectively clinch, if I go 3-1 or 4-0 today the season becomes a lot more interesting.

Bad news: Suffered three injuries during the series, and will be playing the next series against the best offensive team in the league without two of my starting lineup and one of my bullpen pitchers.

the gizmo Joined: 02/07/2013 Posts: 574 Inactive	With a 6 game winning streak and capturing 10 out of last 11, The Vero Beach Gulls have solidified their hold in the East with a 3 game lead and reducing their magic number to five. It appears a rematch from last seasons League VI.17 championship is underway, in which the a Gulls beat Casper 4 games to 3. Casper beat the Gulls 6-4 in this seasons series as two very well matched teams will potentially meet in the post season again.

Snookbone Joined: 05/23/2014 Posts: 49 Inactive	VI.15 East is getting exciting... leaders Quincy on a 5 game losing streak, both Alexandria and my side behind 3 and 4 games respectively, and both on 5 and 6 game winning streaks respectively. Will be interesting to see if either team can capitalise on a potential meltdown... watch this space people!

Brewnoe Joined: 03/25/2014 Posts: 818 Fall River Naughty Dawgs IV.5	Yeah, my team has some kind of crazy 2011 meltdown fixation. Last season we went from 2nd at the AS break to a 3 games above last place finish. This season the melt waited until October, so far low-lighted by a 0 IP, 6 ER start from our ace and a 1/3 IP, 4 ER start from our number 3 starter. Edit: Definite Bobby V move in game 159. Season on the line, SET1 the only reliever with more than light fatigue ... lets give LHS2 2 2/3 innings where he doesn't face one left-handed hitter. One game left to avoid a sweep at home vs. the last place team and guarantee at least a tie ... Updated Monday, July 21 2014 @ 3:34:41 pm PDT

newtman Joined: 11/02/2013 Posts: 3343 Inactive	I lost on the worst type of bull***... two errors in the 9th inning with my closer in to give up the tying run. After my closer exits my set-up guy gives up a walk and a homer in the 10th. Season over. If the team I lost to was actually good I wouldn't mind nearly as much. Just managed to recover this far, if I beat Alexandria by 2 we'll have identical records and run diffs! They take it they win, I take it by one, you win! Don't get any better than this right?
