The catcher boxes the third strike against the final batter, who then makes it to first base. Situation #1: The pitcher immediately picks the runner off for the third out before throwing the tenth pitch of the inning. Situation #2: The pitcher throws to first, but a comedy of errors allows the runner to score from first base, winning the ballgame before a tenth pitch is thrown. The question: Do either of these count as an Immaculate Inning? |
