Glenn Childs [ID #325442] was my 1st round pick, nice.
1 appearance in A the first two weeks and jumped to 2A after T3.
Help! All he has is 2 ip back in A ball.
I've moved him from SP to RP in my ST pitching lineup and adjusted PCs. No change.

Is there something wrong?

My 2nd round pick, Trent Daniels [ID #329395], also nice, has 48.1 IP in 12 appearances in AA.

That can happen with some guys. The AI manager just keeps overlooking them. Is possible that its because they are overrated, but I'm not sure.

The thing that I have done in this situation is demote the guy down to A during the week, and bring him back to AA Thursday night. That way he trains at the level you want him at, but at least you can get some information about his tendencies (like GB/FB).

thanks Rock.
Looks like no action tonight either, so far anyway.
He had two full weeks at A with one appearance.
He only has 52 SI and 18 in Arm. Perhaps Rookie is more appropriate?
After tonight runs out I think I'll send down if no IP.

Yeah, you can try putting him in Rookie during the week, and just bring him back up to the appropriate level on Thursday (before the training update on Friday).

The managers don't like him for some reason. I've had a few guys like that. Couldn't get any stats for them. But I can't remember if they worked out in the long term.

2049 #3 draftee: 1/3 IP, 10 SI gained
2050: Little or no spring use from release and waivers, eventually 14 2/3 IP (AAA), 5 SI gained.

I got him with 66 SI, Spring of '51 and immediately promoted. The minor league assignments after were because he finished at 102 SI and I thought there might be some training left, there was not.

I feel he's the poster child of how minor league usage does not affect SI gain, they just have to be there. Just like an NP might be on a League Roster with 0 use and still gain training SI

Absolutely, it doesn't effect SI gain. Mostly its just annoying because you can't see the stat tendencies. That's why I demote them during the week, and bring them up before the update. Just so I can get a better view on things like HR rate, GB/FB, K/BB, vLHB, etc.

You could also play them in Spring Training if you wanted to force some stats.
