The A's have been very good throughout the years when it comes to their closers. Just let 'em walk and the next guy steps up. Always seems to work for them, not so much for me |

Just shuffle between multiple closers throughout the season. It's either that or you play your top reliever as a closer and just let his salary go up up and away. |

I started doing this because I would have my starter rocking it and get pulled for an inferior closer and wham bam thank you mam I've got a blown save and no win for my starter. My guys still get saves, just by committee, and only when my starter is used up. If it saves me salary, even better, but that's not why I do it. I tend to have 5 sp, lr, mr1, mr2, set1, set2 and last season a rhs.

I tend to have so many guys with tons of stamina that it is the only way to get everyone as many innings as they can go. Injuries are not really a problem either with 5 guys on the roster with 15 stamina or more. If one or two go down I still have 3 innings eaters.
