After joining Hardwood, I had the idea and had discussed with other managers about using something like the recruitment system for APS and IFA. As both ATM are used in the draft and arguably considered the worst. I think the recruitment system used in hardwood would be a much better representation of those systems and their IRL counterparts, providing us with a new way to approach team building (and finances) plus giving a boost to international and APS players appeal.

I know a few managers already agreed with me on this one and would love to see something like it implemented.

(Also another +1 for openers being added because I very much want that still)

The main complaint against doing a full draft system is that it would be too much burden on casual players. I think a recruiting system would be even more burden.

If we are ok increasing burden, my vote would be to do a full draft (prioritized draft boards), not recruiting.

I like the idea myself. The intent I assume is to mimic the MLB system as best we can. Draft for High School, College, and North American pools. A posting system of bidding for Asian and International pools. If that’s too burdensome a person could just avoid those pools, which most probably do anyway. A system like this exists already in Hardwood. It might not be too difficult to incorporate into Broken Bat.

Holy *beep*, entirely too time intensive of a suggestion my man.

Try Out of the Park Baseball though...
