Nov 04 2033: BREAKING NEWS: Doug Olsen announces retirement! - by Jonathon Williams on October 6th, 2017

Just hours after Jonathon Williams assumed command of the Braves, Manager Doug Olsen announced his retirement.

Doug has been with the Braves since 2013, making his final year his 20th anniversary as Manager of the Braves.

"It's a shame to see him go so soon." Owner Jonathon Williams said. "I've watched him on TV for all of his career with the Braves. But it's time. He's getting to the point where he cannot manage efficiently anymore, however, it's not a dishonorable discharge for him. He's earned his rest. We will miss him, but we will carry on.

"I've been managing this team ever since it's founding." Doug said. "I've seen it take it's first baby steps, and grow into adulthood. Now, like a parent with their child, I must let the team go. I know it will be in good hands."

Jonathon has also announced that Doug is now the first entry into the Milwaukee Braves Hall of Fame.

All good things must come to pass. The first chapter of Braves baseball is over, and now, the sequel begins.
