The curious case of Christian Villegas http://brokenbat.org/player/56330

This guy has been absolutely light out for me , cy young last year in his debut season for me with a 26-6 record 2.21 ERA and this season 13-5 with 2.64ERA , he has not improved his attributes since i signed him. Look at his ERA before he signed with me though , its pretty mediocre at best. Im certainly not complaining , long may this continue

his stats are still improving average wise. His final stats last year we're an outlier. His performance outweighs his "pops".

For the first few seasons, he didn't pitch very much. I think by the middle years (2011 & 2012) he started getting enough major league experience to max out his potential. His ceiling was always extremely high, it was just a matter of getting enough training and experience to reach his potential.

Something about the last name.

Mr. Villegas has me rooting for him on a nightly basis as he continues his torrid HR pace. Currently 4th in the league and really has no business doing it.
