I'm having a hard time figuring out how Fabian Pachecohttp://brokenbat.org/player/144340 didn't finish Top 5 in MVP voting. http://brokenbat.org/awards/28/2042
I get the batting avg isn't great.

The winner Walther http://brokenbat.org/player/175834

Feels like SI is major factor in MVP voting as my highest rated player finished 2nd with even less stats.

Na SI isn't considered, its completely stats (and maybe defensive position a little). Just not always the ones you want. In this case though its a no-brainer. Walther is WAY better. His OPS is 77 points higher. He is much more productive, its not even close. Pacheco hit a lot of HRs, but his production was way below his norm this year. The .255 AVE didn't help. The batting avg was more than not great, and definitely sunk his MVP votes.

Walther created about 130 runs in 611 AB. (8.9 RC/27)
Pacheco created about 109 runs in 631 AB. (6.2 RC/27)
Clearly more valuable.
Your own Yama*beep*o created about 126 runs in 645 AB. (8 RC/27)

I wonder about the calculation as well. I was amazed that Takeshi Nishioka didn't win it in IV 6.
