Have there been any great right handed first baseman in the MLB?

Off the top of my head you've got Jimmy Foxx, Frank Thomas, Albert Pujols, Jeff Bagwell, and Mark McGuire.

Edwin Encarnacion can also be added there. Also long time White Sox captain Konerko was great. Mark Texeira is a joy to watch defensively when he's healthy and I dislike the Yankees. But I'm sure if you look thru history there are quite a few

Some older/poor fielding third basemen get moved to 1st base.

Mark McGwire was a third baseman in the minors, but the A's had Carey Lansford playing there in the big leagues. So he was switched across the diamond.
