So...if i want one of my young guys to switch positions in the minors how long does it take?

Will the new position eventually show up on their player card?

Does range have anything to do with their position change?

What does range mean anyways?

Any response would be much appreciated.

Thank you

No idea. I'm gonna add to this.

Q: can a player outright CHANGE position?

Best that I can gather it takes (minimum) two full seasons training in the position for them to really learn it. At least that's when the appropriate lower case letter seems to pop up on the player card... But I only have one player who I've seen this with so far...

To the OP: Range measures the player's ability to cover ground when playing defense. So it is important for OF and middle infielders, not as important but helpful for corner infielders, and not so meaningful for P or C.

You can start switching player positions while their in the minor leagues by targeting them to specific positions (from the Minors page).

From no experience at all, it can take roughly 2 seasons of playing time to acquire full experience at a new position. However, with every training update, his experience and performance at the position will improve.
