Players automatically receive training just sitting on the bench (in practice). Being at the "correct" level provides the most training. So playing a guy recommended to A in AAA will reduce his training. Experience - Is only gained during Major League games, and only with playing time. This does include Spring Training games and Cup games. A player gains experiences commensurate with At Bats and Innings Pitched. Minor League players can only gain Training if they participate in Spring Training games. EDIT: Sorry, its actually Batter Faced, not innings pitched. You can track your weekly progress on the "Latest" tab under Statistics. DIS stands for defensive innings and effect position experience only. BTW, players can "stunt" if they are promoted too early because they are not able to gain sufficient Training before they get too old to train any more.
