I'm English, so get the rules but am not sure of what makes a good player and a bad one - any recommendations for a beginners guide. I've looked a the wiki links and they were of some use. Actually, the reassignment tool works, the problem is getting the game engine to work when players have been removed from the team without just playing a random lineup. In terms of what makes a good or bad player. For most of the position players, you'll want them to have good batting skills and decent defense (especially if they are playing SS, 2B, CF). Batting skills would be hitting, bat control, plate discipline and power. Generally, the top of the order (batting first or second) has faster, better hitters. The middle of the order (third through sixth) has more power and the weaker hitters bat towards the end of the order. For pitchers, all the pitching skills are important. For starting pitchers, stamina is pretty important too, but not so much for relievers. Steve |
