Two Red Devil's pitchers were awarded November 4th. Zane Carney was named Rookie Pitcher of the Year, edging out Cong Nguyen of Noblesville 9 votes to 8. Luis Portilla was given All-League honors for his excellent first season as the Red Devil's closer. Veteran Ernie Weeks placed third in MVP voting.

Three straight capacity crowds saw us get swept by Fort Wayne in our opening home series. Game one saw us lose 6-3 with horrible pitching andfielding. One bright spotwas Ernie "The Cannon " Weeks go 3 for 4 with a solo HR and a 2b.

A back and forthaffair in the secondgame saw us lose 8-7.Legs ParodiandBoom Boom Ahneach had a good game. Parodiwent 5 for6 scoring once and swiping two bags. Boom Boom scored twice, drove in four and hit one out of the park with two hits in 5 at bats.

The offense only mustered up five hits in 4-0 loss in game three. There was some solid reliefpitching in this one withHarry Cassidy getting 4 strikeouts and0ER in2 and1/3innings. DeJuan"The Rock " Bauer pitched 2 scoreless innings.

Hopefully we can bounce back against the Pilgrims as they make the pilgrimage from Urbandale to Oshkosh.
