Apr 29 2056: Inglewood Drafts Major Talent - by dcon28 on August 17th, 2022

In his very first move since acquiring the Inglewood Panthers, owner dcon28 made possibly the biggest steal of the draft. In the 2nd round, the Panthers grabbed 17-year-old SS/2B Chuck Burk. In addition to now being the youngest member of the Panthers farm system, Burk is also considered to have the highest potential of any player in the entire organization. Burk possesses plus-plus range, arm talent, and speed, making him an ideal fit at shortstop, and he should develop his hitting skills if given enough time. Burk also likely becomes the Panthers' best prospect, in addition to 21-year-old outfielder Cole White, 18-year-old outfielder Manny Bahr, and 20-year-old pitcher Ricky Steward. Burk is also Inglewood's only prospect on the Top 100 list, coming in at #19 despite only having played 8 games in the Rookie League. Hopefully he can deliver in the coming years and we'll see him in the majors.
