Catfish Win VI.32 League Championship -
by yaboi1 on August 10th, 2023
For the first time since the move to Cary, the Catfish won the VI.32 League, defeating League City in a 4-0 sweep, despite a challenging beginning to the season.
Since Sean "Buchou" Lombardo took over the club, the Catfish went 84-48 lead by the strong pitching from Cam Chen, last year's Cy Young winner, Lucas Lawson, and Jeff St. John.
Bruce Finocchiaro had a breakout season, leading the team in home runs and being selected to his first all-star game.
After years of struggling, the team is looking forward to competing in a new division.
