Jun 09 2025: Ownership cannot make up their mind... - by celtic4warrior on December 14th, 2015

The firing of Bernie Friedman makes him the second coach this year to recieve the ax from ownership. Right now owner celtic4warrior feels that this new move will help add more stability to the roster and possibly lead to an improvement in the pitching that has struggled over the course of the year. We will see what happens, but it seems like it is going to be another rebuilding year for the Sharks/Warriors.

With regards,

Santa Maria Sharks

Oct 28 2024: Season Ends- End of great Career's, beginning of a new era - by celtic4warrior on November 3rd, 2015

As the latest season comes to an end, the Santa Maria Warriors again found themselves in competition. Again they were in the race for the division crown, but could not score enough runs in the end to win. Otherwise, it was a better than expected year, and with the upcoming youth Santa Maria ownership is excited for the future and knows that they can compete. Now to wait for the season turnover and to bid adieu to the legends Jason Bowen and Curtis Morgan. To officially begin the new era, the Santa Maria Warriors have changed their mascot to the Sharks, to commemorate the Central Coast where the city is located and the beautiful beaches very close to the city.

With regards,

Owner Celtic4warrior

Jan 20 2024: Cruz "The Professor" Arredondo Retires - by celtic4warrior on August 25th, 2015

After six very successful years at the head of the Santa Maria Warriors, Cruz Arredondo has come to a mutual agreement on his retirement. He has resurrected the team and the torch shall be handed over to a young Mexican coach named Alonzo Hidalgo. This year shall also see the last campaigns for two of the greatest Warriors of all-time: catcher Curtis Morgan and Outfielder Jason Bowen shall finish the final year of their career as reserves. Here's to a better and more successful year, but the position and success of this team all falls upon the shoulders of these three gentlemen and one final hearty thank you goes out to all three.

Jan 20 2023: 2023 season - by celtic4warrior on June 9th, 2015

In his first press release as owner of the Santa Maria Warriors, celtic4warrior, believes that this season will be as good as the past. They are older and less talented, but with Cruz Arredondo as manager, celtic4warrior is confident that they will have another successful season. They are very confident in their minor league system and it's depth, and hope that they will have a successful season that will provide the springboard for bringing up the youth.
