Press Releases:

Jan 13 2063: New ownership finally comes forward at the Bulls! - by Mofo on January 13th, 2024

We are delighted to announce that after a month of speculation that the new owner for the Durham Bulls is "Mofo". We apologise for the delay in getting this out to the fans and want to assure you that it was only to avoid the distraction that could have destabilised the promotion push for the team.

After clinching the East division, the team set its sights on the play offs and went on to become the League champions of IV.1 with a 4-2 series against a very competitive Tucumcari.

When interviewed the new boss said "I am absolutely thrilled with the team in what they have achieved this season, but believe me this is not about short term gains, I want to build something here that will go on for years. The Durham Bulls have a proud history and this club has been on the decline. Today we start life again in third tier, we must establish ourselves here once more, improve our farm system and play some ball that the fans are proud of".

He went on to thank Bruce Butler - the newly appointed manager and his new management team that went on to claim a 38-22 (.633) record that ensured the team took promotion. When asked about the exiting manager - Kerry Crawley, Mofo said "This may shock a few, but how Crawley was managing this great team is a mystery...good riddance"

The Bulls look to have an exciting future, whatever the outcome Mofo has promised to give it his all. Lets get behind the team as the exciting 2063 season gets underway!
