In an interview with the new owner of the Beaumont Frogs, "What a Mess I've inherited" was the first thing out of his mouth. I asked why would you feel that way? The answer was quite revealing:

"Well, first of all, I found that the previous owners over that past 4 seasons have allowed the players to walk all over them. Players were allowed alcohol in the locker room, parties after losses, and there were regular contests to see who 'ran' down to first on ground balls...THE SLOWEST! Talk about entitlement mentality. When I asked the manager about these allegations, his response was I did what I could, trying to avoid ownerships involvement."

This reporter can validate that many of these observations are true, based on my coverage over the last couple of years and FINALLY the climate around this ball club may change...the fans can only hope! Good luck on this massive re-boot of a less than great franchise.
