New Ownership, New Identity, New Era -
by Huaraches25 on April 6th, 2020
The team formerly know as the Valdosta Rebels are please to announce that with new ownership they will now be located in West Orange and renamed the Spartans to represent the core values of determination, dedication and valor.
This team was already in good shape coming off of 6 straight seasons of 80+ wins but we are excited to take the next step forward with goals of achieving promotion within the next 2 seasons and simultaneously bringing in younger talent with hopes of achieving an average major league age at around 27.5 within the next 3 seasons without sacrificing production.
West Orange appreciates its many talented veterans who still have so much to offer while also mentoring younger players. We are especially excited to see what the season has in store for 2B Anibal Perez, C Jose Zuniga, Outfielder Alberto Hernandez and 1B Doug Roy.
West Orange has brought in a few young players that we hope will have an impact on our team for the next several seasons. Namely Infielder Thijs Dykstra, Backup C/3B Ryuki Shibata and Pitcher Bryce Geissler
West Orange will continue to scout for more players to improve the roster as we strive to build a dynasty for seasons to come!
