The Raccoons have changed the name and mascot to the Bison. Due to recent financial struggle there has been a major mix up in the roster for the Bison, The ownership and management feels they put together the best possible team for the current money that is available. The season is not going how ownership had hope but manager Kyle Bender will be the manager for the foreseeable future, he has the support of the players and ownership.

The High Point Gulls have moved to Mitchell SD and have become the Mitchell Raccoons. There is a new as well Kyle Bender has taken over. This upcoming season will be a fresh start. The manager has the support of the front office to lead this team to the next level.

There is a good chance that the Crusaders could be relocated at the end of the season to South Dakota. The team name may or may not change at this point. There is no decisions being made about the manager future till after the season ends.

The Crusaders today signed a OF prospect right out of high school Jamie Brett. He will start off his career in the rookie league and the Crusaders front office is high on this 17 year old. He has a high upside the owner stated right after the signing. The team also signed a pitcher to the roster as Oswaldo Cuéllar to add some depth in the later months of the season.
