Jan 15 2046: Raise the Legends East Pennant! - by allen54chevy on June 12th, 2020

The Allen '54 Chevy team won Legends East this year! In the playoff against Moore, the two teams battled to game 7 which ended in a heart breaking loss in the finale. Moore used their young lefty stud Norton very effectively in the series as he was awarded 3 of their 4 wins.
These two teams have the utmost respect for each other and have now traded back to back game 7 wins.

Looking back at the season, it was quite the ride. The 54 Chevy squad took the pole position early and never looked back. The team was a great mix of young and old, homegrown and acquired talent.
Here's to next Season!

Aug 21 2044: Cup Finals - by allen54chevy on March 6th, 2020

The '54Chevys have made it to the Cup Championship for the first time! They will face off against the resilient Brookhaven Mustangs. Manager Espino stressed that the team is not celebrating yet as the Mustangs will be a difficult squad to face. "Their hitters are disciplined and hit for power while their pitchers know how to get K's"

Games start Monday. Chevy vs Mustang: More on the line than pink slips, there's a trophy and bragging rights to be had.

Nov 04 2039: Legends - by allen54chevy on March 7th, 2019

Well folks we made it! From LL6 to the top league it has been a long fun road. Along the way, the numbers look like this: It has taken 15 seasons which included 7 promotions and 2 relegations, 3 relocations, 5 coaches, 5 name changes, a 6 month hiatus from the game (with 2 seasons of no draft picks), 1307-1093 record, and 2 unopened yet expired pieces of mail in my inbox that I cannot reach.

Mar 25 2034: Relocation part2 - by allen54chevy on October 23rd, 2017

Ownership has done it again. The team moved in the middle of the night further south leaving Wichita behind.
"They lost a championship series again, what was i supposed to do?" said the owner with not just a hint of sarcasm.
The real reason is likely the destination. When the team was firt purchased in Brookings SD ownership made it clear that they wanted to move back home to Allen, TX. After the fire they had to move but Allen was not available so a storm shelter in Wichita Ks housed the team as they change mascots from Bison to Twisters. Apparently though, Kansas was no place like home.
Through a backdoor deal involing Steve and Jwrose (then owner of the Allen Armadillos) Ownership traded a junkyard in Lorain and a promise of a beer if they ever met in person to Jwrose in exchange for vacating Allen. With the move comes a ne mascot... the classic 54 chevy pickup which anyone who knows the owner will recognize.

Jan 15 2028: Relocation - by allen54chevy on June 28th, 2016

Owners have moved the tea south to Wichita KS and renamed them the Twisters. An underground dome-like stadium is being constructed and will be nick-named the storm shelter. Manager Spahn will continue at the helm. Spahn said quote " it never did make sense for the major league club to be in Brookings, heck the stadium held more than the population of the town. No wonder we could never sell out... not even during our championship games. Wichita is more than 10 times the population, surely we can find some baseball fans here"
AAA has been moved to Elkton SD which is right next to Brookings and they will continue the Bison name. Ownership state they did not want to forget the Bison history despite the need to move on.
