Mar 03 2056: New team - by diamond_ace on July 30th, 2022

The team formerly known as the Aberdeen Owls is no more, having packed up and moved to Cuyahoga Falls overnight. The new stadium is at the site of the finish line of the Burning River trail race. One new player has been signed, Dale Parks, to help fill out the catcher depth (only Neal Barry was able to play catcher prior to this) and over the upcoming seasons, the team will look to get younger, even if this hinders the on field product somewhat.

In the last 8 games the warriors have played then are 6-2 and have moved from the cellar of the league to number 2. Hopefully with winning the last two series will give this team the motivation to continue playing at a high level said team captain Tomas. Lets see if the Hammond Warrior can continue to improve their pitching and get more bats on the ball and win ball game to keep them young season alive.

Jul 23 2029: Cup Runneth over - by revjones29 on November 5th, 2016

This season has been a real surprise for Gm Jamahl Jones. He has worked tirelessly to find a gm to help mold this team and to grow in to potential contenders. Manager Glenn Jordan has been that man after stepping in two and a half seasons ago he has gotten the team to buy into his belief and are looking at at chance to make into the final four in the Cup Tourney. When Glenn was asked about his team run in the Cup Tourney He stated," these guys are just out here trying to have fun and play like they are kids. I commend the hard work they have put into the off season and the growth of our young players has been outstanding, no matter the outcome I am proud of our boys but we still have more work to do." Hopefully we can see the growth of this team flourish and carry over into the league play where they are sitting in the middle of the pack with a little under half a season to go. Can the make the push to league contenders?

Jul 16 2026: Managerial change - by revjones29 on March 9th, 2016

With the halfway point here and All Star Break upon us. The Canton Spartans have made a switch in managers. With new manager Jim Mueller now taking the helm, we will look to revamp the pitching that has taken a turn for the worst with top pitchers Rosado and Kruger pulling for a combined one win and an ERA over 10.00. When asked about how he will improve the pitching and poor defense Jim stated, "we are here to build a winning atmosphere and positive attitude, we want pitching to be top notch and defense superb. Will Jim be able to apply these changes to a team that has fallen in to second to last and create a team that is durable and make a push to avoid demotion. Stay tuned.
