Sep 22 2026: Bears Reach .500! - by brentswagger on March 28th, 2016

The Bears have been on quite a roll since owner Brent Swagger has purchased the Bears. They have won 14 of 15 games since the ownership change and have climbed to a .500 record for the season. When asked what to expect for the remainder of the season Swagger said, "it's great to see how the team has responded. We will be evaluating everything from our veterans to our minor league system. There is a lot of work to do after a period of neglect for this franchise. Our goal is to make this team better from the major league down through rookie ball. We will continue to strengthen our organization and some of it will just take time".

Sep 05 2026: Antioch Aliens Change Hands - by brentswagger on March 23rd, 2016

The Antioch Aliens changed hands yesterday. New Ownership plans on moving them after the season and they will be playing as the Clayton Bears. Don't expect too much activity at this time since the deadline to sign players has passed. The good news is the franchise has a lot of cash and needs to spend. The bad news is the minor league system has only a few solid prospects. Look for the Bears to bring in some impact veterans and begin to rebuild the farm system next season.
