10 Game Win Streak Spurs the Mustangs -
by LimelightPete on September 2nd, 2014
Medford, Oregon - Backed by new ownership, as well as a team name change, the Medford Mustangs have just completed a 10 game winning streak, and now appear to be a real contender in League VI.5. Manager Mario Casanova says that he's thrilled with recent developments, and looks forward to a playoff run.
"I'm thrilled with the recent developments," said Casanova. "I'm looking forward to a playoff run."
The solid production of All-Star 3rd baseman Steve Oliver and CF Angel Bravo, along with the emergence of 2nd baseman Ralph Keller as a quality bat, have moved the Mustangs to second place in the West. This recent success has not been lost on their fan base, who didn't have a lot to be excited about last year.
