Seca Joined: 05/05/2014 Posts: 5227 Waterloo Dinosaurs Legends | Most of the sports-casters seem to be taking the "relax, we'll be ok" position, reasoning that this ultimately just weakens the bullpen (due to both Sanchez and Norris starting). I get what they are saying, but I don't really agree. I consider Stroman the staff ace. I don't feel like Buehrle has much left in the tank. Dickey is Dickey. At the end of last season, Stroman was the guy I felt could be counted on to stop a losing streak, or give the bullpen a light day. So ya. /cry. With Edwin's back already creaking, the season is (yet again) already starting to get an "if only ..." feel to it. (PS - maybe we should just make a Blue Jays thread so we don't fill this forum with Jays stuff) |

The injury proneness of the Atlanta staff and inconsistency of the bats were the sole reasons Atlanta fans didn't riot when virtually the entire team was traded/let go in the off-season. Then again the Jays have already done an overhaul... |
