Since we know there are hidden variables (e.g. base stealing tendency), it is impossible to tell for certain whether differences in play are due to a hidden variable, or experience. For what it is worth, I've noticed a sharp drop off in play among most of my players at age 32 regardless of whether there skills actually go into steep decline or whether the skills decline more slowly. Some examples of drop off in play without the skills plummeting include Bechtel, Poole (at 33), and Amador (at 33). Updated Tuesday, August 14 2018 @ 11:16:54 am PDT |
