Now I'm going to preface this next question by acknowledging the D'backs were in the WS, Tampa Bay, many different WS winners, big payrolls don't always win, blah, blah. With Ohtani in Dodger blue and now with last night's acquisition of Tyler Glasnow, the Dodgers winning the West 10 of the last 11 years, do you think baseball would ever veto a deal to a powerhouse club again? |

So, yes, on one hand baseball is never going to keep NY or LA from getting whomever. On the other hand the way revenues are set up, any of the small market teams has to overcome and awful lot and be very lucky with draftees and other things to win. Sure, buying stars doesnt guarantee success, but people watch them, and thats whats important, revenue |
