Hall Of Fame Players

Hall of Famer Enrique Franco
Mexico   #1 - Enrique Franco [ID #40735]     OF
Home Town: Ecatepec, Mexico           School: none
Hall Of Famer                     Bats (L)           Throws (L)           Positions: OF 1b 2b
Games 1900, AVE .292, OBP .372, SLG .455, OPS .827, H 1789, 2B 327, 3B 125, HR 139, RBI 634, SB 736
Notes: Drafted on August 28th, 2004, Enrique Franco played with this Franchise until he retired at the age of 36 in 2018, and did we learn one very true fact from him while he played. Speed kills. No bodies speed has ever killed quiet like Enrique Franco's. Enrique is the Franchise's single and career season record holder for bases stolen. Swiping 93 in 2010, and 736 total throughout his 14 year career with Kahului. The great thing about him as well is that he was capable of getting on base himself. He was able to do so more than a third of the time he came to the plate. He actually walked more than he stole bases, with 759 bases on balls. He could also hit for average though, maintaining a .292 BA through his career, with his best season coming in 2009 with a .330 average.

Hall of Famer Dennis Smith
United States   #5 - Dennis Smith [ID #18091]     C
Home Town: Livermore, California           School: none
Hall Of Famer                     Bats (R)           Throws (R)           Positions: C 1b of
Games 2637, AVE .240, OBP .324, SLG .396, OPS .719, H 2402, 2B 501, 3B 170, HR 239, RBI 1250, SB 213
Notes: Drafted in 2001 at the age of 20, Dennis Smith went on to play an unbelievable 18 seasons. Dennis Smith is the franchise's career record holder for; games played, at-bats, hits, doubles, triples and runs!
The scariest part is that a majority of those categories the competition isn't even close. While amassing over 10,000 at-bats over his career, it's hard to imagine that anyone will ever come close to outperforming his career with this club. With two all-star appearances under his belt, he may have not been appreciated enough by his peers, but he was the cornerstone of this franchise. Within his first 8 seasons, he never missed a game. That is 1,280 games without a rest, he may be one of the last men you will see to put on a uniform that consistently for this club. He may not see him at the top of any single season records, but there was not a man who could play as consistently and long as him. Dennis was the hero, but not hometown hero of the 2013 Championship. Approaching the plate 27 times, Dennis managed to get on base 12 times, while also scoring 8 RBI's. For the life of the 2013 Championship run, Dennis was unable to record a hit at home, but performed brilliantly away. There cannot be enough said about Dennis Smith and his love for this game.

Hall of Famer Kurt Barnett
United States   #11 - Kurt Barnett [ID #18112]     P
Home Town: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania           School: none
Hall Of Famer                     Bats (R)           Throws (R)           Positions: P

Notes: Acquired by the team in 2001, Kurt began to show immediate contribution to the team. In his first season at the age of 24, Kurt went on to pitch a 2.55 ERA over 130 innings. But that was only the start. During Kurt's 17 year career with us, he went on to attend four All-Star games while helping our Franchise win three Championships. He is the career and single season Franchise record holder for ERA with 3.15/2.10 respectively. He was regarded by many as "the magician on the mound" for the way he could move and change speeds of his pitches.

Aruba   #14 - Peter Kounen [ID #49687]     SS

Peter is the most decorated players in Franchise history, also attaining a Gold Glove in 2015. Peter is one of the best all around ball players this club has ever had. Whether he was hitting to get on, for power, or working the pitcher's count Peter was up for the task. Peter was one of the purest hitters we have ever seen. Holding a .868 OPS during his 13 year career with Kahului. Among all the men who have played for this Franchise, Peter is among the very best.

Hall of Famer Felix Pacheco
Dominican Republic   #16 - Felix Pacheco [ID #52769]     3B

Throughout his career he has become the Franchise's single season record holder for RBIs and SLG . While also being the Franchise's career record holder for OPS, and SLG. Felix was one of the purest hitters this club has seen. Amassing 11 seasons at the major league level, he was feared at the plate throughout the league for his final 7 seasons as he was voted to the All-Star game in each of those seasons. He serviced the team well and played in many positions. He one of the ultimate team players, willingly moving positions to put this franchise in the best position to win. Playing full seasons at three different positions; OF, 3B and 1B. He may not have been the most athletic or naturally gifted players, but he always played with the most heart.

Hall of Famer Francisco Salinas
Venezuela   #23 - Francisco Salinas [ID #18095]     2B
Home Town: Maracaibo, Venezuela           School: none
Hall Of Famer                     Bats (L)           Throws (L)           Positions: 2B 1b 3b ss

Notes: Joining the club as a rookie in 2001 at the age of 21. Francisco Salinas may be the best power hitter this franchise may ever see. Francisco hit a club career record of 333 home runs over an unbelievable 17 seasons at the major league level. Attaining three all star visits in 2004, 2007 and 2008. Also being a part of three championships in 2003, 2004 and 2013, Francisco will be one of the greatest players to ever put on a Kahului uniform. He is among the leaders of many of the franchise's offensive career records. His stat's speak a lot about how good he was, but he was a pivotal leader in the locker room as well. Having played in over 2,422 games you would come to expect that from a man this great at the game.

Hall of Famer Billy McGee
United States   #33 - Billy McGee [ID #18107]     P
Home Town: St. Louis, Missouri           School: none
Hall Of Famer                     Bats (R)           Throws (R)           Positions: P
Games 722, W 167, L 127, S 44, CG 58, SHO 14, ERA 4.17, BAA .256, WHIP 1.365, IP 2733⅓, K 2046
Notes: The first Cy Young winner in Franchise history, billy McGee joined the Franchise in 2001 and is tied for the most single season wins at 20. He accomplished this in 2003 and it stood as the most wins in Franchise history until it was tied in 2026. Billy had master control of his pitches and it shows as he is the Franchise's career strikeout leader with 2046. An integral part of the clubs 3 championship games, Billy has continued his exploits into baseball greatness as he transformed himself into the broadcaster for the Franchise five years after his retirement. We all now get to listen to his cool demeanor as he continues to call the games to this day. Regarded as one of the best and most creative pitcher's of his era, Billy has made a home in us.

Hall of Famer Jason Bonner
United States   #49 - Jason Bonner [ID #18102]     OF
Home Town: Toledo, Ohio           School: none
Hall Of Famer                     Bats (L)           Throws (L)           Positions: OF 1b
Games 1162, AVE .313, OBP .350, SLG .485, OPS .835, H 1275, 2B 297, 3B 32, HR 114, RBI 557, SB 2
Notes: This man is the epitome of why we play the game. Jason did not get a chance to play for a major league ball club until he was called up to the majors at the age of 29 in 2001. Then he helped set the team on fire! Helping the club win back to back championships in 2003 and 2004, Jason Bonner was one of the most consistent hitters to ever be a part of this franchise. With multiple seasons being the best for average hitter on the team, and in the history of this franchise! Jason Bonner set the franchise's single season batting average, hitting .354 over 641 at bats in 2002. Historically that could have been one of the greatest single season records, but it wasn't enough for him. He outperformed that by hitting .379 AVE in the 2003 Championship season over 499 at bats! The next closest single season performance not performed by Jason is a batting average of .339 by Marcos Ortega. Jason only played for 9 seasons with the club before retiring at the age of 37, we could only imagine what he could of done if he was brought up earlier in his career. He will most likely be the only player inducted into the Kahului Hall Of Fame with under 1,200 games played, and he is mainly in for the dominance he showed during just 771 at-bats between 2001 and 2005. That statement just speaks to how great he was during that five year span. Those five seasons of hitting brilliance are all within the top 11 single season batting averages by any player within this franchise.

Hall of Famer Marcos Ortega
United States   #64 - Marcos Ortega [ID #18119]     3B
Home Town: Layton, Utah           School: none
Hall Of Famer                     Bats (R)           Throws (R)           Positions: 3B OF 1b
Games 1895, AVE .275, OBP .334, SLG .474, OPS .808, H 1845, 2B 399, 3B 117, HR 234, RBI 933, SB 72
Notes: Being brought up to the majors on April 7th, 2018, at the age of 23, Marcos has been a part of three Championship teams for the Franchise; 2003, 2004 and 2013. Playing minimally in the 2003, 2004 and 2005 seasons, he thereafter became a leader and respected part of the baseball community, acquiring 5 All-Star appearances. Marcos played 16 seasons for the franchise and would hold the best single season batting average if not for Jason Bonner's unbelievable hitting of 2002-2003. Marcos has been one of the best all around hitters this franchise has seen, not afraid to hit for power or average he has been capable of doing it all.

Hall of Famer Harry Wade
United States   #65 - Harry Wade [ID #18106]     P
Home Town: Rio Rancho, New Mexico           School: none
Hall Of Famer                     Bats (L)           Throws (L)           Positions: P
Games 572, W 207, L 152, S 50, CG 27, SHO 10, ERA 3.46, BAA .242, WHIP 1.254, IP 3125⅓, K 1837
Notes: 18 years of service for the Franchise, Harry Wade has amassed an amazing career with us. With a third of his seasons leading to All-Star games, Harry has managed to help us win three Championships. At a towering 6'6" he was always a threat on the mound, regarded by many as one of the fastest pitchers on the team. Although he threw fast, that was nothing compared to his off speed pitches. His curve and splitter separated himself from not just his whole team, but from the entire league. The Franchise career record holder for wins and innings pitched. Harry has been regarded as one of the best pitchers this Franchise has ever seen, many believe the best we ever will see.

Hall of Famer Zack Harmon
United States   #69 - Zack Harmon [ID #18121]     P
Home Town: Union City, New Jersey           School: none
Hall Of Famer                     Bats (L)           Throws (L)           Positions: P
Games 700, W 27, L 47, S 207, ERA 4.19, BAA .260, WHIP 1.496, IP 849⅔, K 484
Notes: Zack Harmon served as the Franchise's longest tenured reliever, playing in 700 games over a 17 year career. He is not the most decorated Hall Of Famer, having only one All-Star appearance, but he is one of the Franchise's most recognizable players. Whether it was his infamous leg kick, or the taboo style of sprinting out of the bullpen every time he was called onto the field. He was loved for all his shenanigans. Zack made three appearances in the 2013 Championship games, acquiring 2 saves and allowing only one run in 4 innings of work.
