Oops forgot my wildcard picks...

AL: Angels they will fly into the post season right behind Texas and will face Texas in the 1st round I think. They will knock Texas out.

NL: Diamondbacks they will be tough opponents with Gibby at the helm! Expect them to lose to SF in the 1st round. It will be Freaky...(Lincecum joke!)

correct me if i'm wrong...but it looked like you forgot to put in the extra Wild card spots, new to this season...

I'm just hoping the the Grapefruit standings mean something and that maybe the Bluejays can sneak in...even if it's only because the league created an extra playoff spot...

If the Giants get their offense back, with their pitching, they could be back to championship form. However, there offense was so bad last season, that could be difficult.

I think the Tigers will be very good. And the City of Detroit needs something positive!

Not sure how good the Bluejays will be…but spring standings don’t mean much.

Yeah I did forget those...

AL WildCard Game Angels vs Yankees. Angels bounce the bombers!

NL Wildcard Game Diamondbacks vs Atlanta. The Braves will relax a bit in this game and give Gibsons team a chance to strike. They will.

i was watching an interview with a couple of former pros and they were saying that Spring training standings mean more than most think...

but i know what you're saying...

i'm just a bit wishful i think...starting to see some positives in their organization...building from the ground up...looks like it's starting to pay off a bit...

Okay, I think I need to revise my NL West prediction. The Dodgers are 8-1 and looking like the class of the division.

It's safe to say the NL East has been a surprise so far. I figured it would be a dogfight, but I didn't imagine the Phillies would be as far down as they are. Although, I'm sure if that team was put in one of the other divisions, they wouldn't be doing quite as badly.

The closest pro team to me is Washington's AA affiliate, so I can honestly say that after watching the last few seasons there, the breakout year the Nationals are having doesn't surprise me one bit. The organization spent the last five years or so sacrificing the top level to quietly build probably the best player development and scouting system in baseball, and now that approach is starting to pay off. The scary thing is that farm system is still absolutely loaded; that team will likely be very good for a very, very long time. I thought going into 2012 that they were still one more year away from this, so the speed of their rise was a little surprising.

The one that really surprises me is how well the Mets have done so far. I don't think they were on anybody's radar screen coming into the season, but they're still hanging around.

Yeah, Philadelphia has had Howard injury to deal with, but you'd still think they'd be better than they've been (14 GB).

Pittsburgh has been a big surprise. The Nationals are just loaded with high draft picks. I remember Strasburg in college here at SDSU...I think everyone knew he was going to be great.
