Also, some data points to consider: Both players were bot cuts and both made over $1M (and so showed up on the news feed for the league). This guy was cut at 34, made under $1M (yes, I went digging through transaction pages), and did not retire. EDIT: A bit more digging brought up this fellow: Also 33, making $1M+ (but did not make the news feed, presumably because he made less due to loyalty before being cut), and is currently on waivers. Rock777 Joined: 09/21/2014 Posts: 9571 Haverhill Halflings III.1 | I think the real difference is that the two guys who retired early were undrafted draft pool -> FA guys. The second two were drafted. It seems like the undrafted guys retire if they are released by the bot that picked them up. |
