Was watching the MLB draft (kind of in the background). Anyone else watching?

I noticed that the scouting reports are more like this:

8. Dylan Lesko (18.9), RHP, Buford HS (GA), Vanderbilt commit

Velo: 94-96 t97, Fastball: 60/65, Curveball: 50/60, Changeup: 70/80, Command: 40/55

10. Gavin Cross (21.3), RF, Virginia Tech

Hit: 30/55, Game Power: 35/55, Raw Power: 60/60, Speed: 50/50, Field: 45/50, Throw: 50/50

Not sure what the difference between Game Power and Raw power is.

I watched the ESPN stream until the Jays picked at 23.

I believe game power is an estimate of actual output (ie., HRs) where raw power is how far a player is capable of hitting it.

400 ft with some consistency vs. 450 ft occasionally.

Coming from overseas with no prior rooting interest, I chose the O's as my major league team... so yep, I was watching it closely. Gotta love all these top 5 picks in recent years.

Orange color? Or just a favorite animal :)

I know I preferred green teams when I was a little kid. So I liked the Athletics and the Packers despite being from New England.

Picking a strong team to rooting for is boring. It was more fun rooting for the Pats pre/post Brady. More interesting; not that I had any complaints about winning with Brady. But a lot more fun when you are rooting for them before they get good ;)

Coming from (ie. living) overseas with no prior rooting interest...I chose the Dodgers, simply because I liked the name. I'd followed football for a long, long time but had never gotten into baseball until 2004 when I was (1) invited to join a fantasy baseball league, and (2) ready Moneyball. I didn't know anything about them and the name Frank McCourt meant nothing to me, but it's worked out pretty well.

Rock pretty much nailed it - I wanted a historical team, but more of an underdog that could take on big teams like the Yankees, Red Sox, Jays, etc. (hasn't gone to plan recently, but they're turning it around!). I also like their colour scheme, logo/bird nickname, and ballpark.

heh, I still follow the Pirates, not best for your health, but

Picked it because dad used to work in Pittsburgh, and it was fun with Bonilla, Bonds, VanSlyke coming up to bat

.. with no irrational hate for Reds, Pvt,
cut me some slack, I only remember Marge :)

sadly, my pitching will soon resemble theirs
