New York claimed our first division title in nine seasons, which is immensely pleasing.

We're 90-60 with ten games left, but I have no idea how we're just 37-37 at home and a ridiculous 53-23 on the road!

So frustrating. I called up everyone for this last stretch to try and catch Waco. The Mayor gave up 3 homers and 5 ER in a 6-4 loss. Then Frederickson gave up 4 hits, no walks and struck out 8, but 2 of those hits were homers and we lost 3-2. I dont know why we can match up well with the top teams in our division then when Kapaa and El Paso are on schedule we are mediocre to poor. I just dont understand it. The worst team in our division is only 9 games below .500, but still...Waco won all games, so they may clinch before we even have a chance to play them.

The silver lining is San Nicolas in his first start since early May, threw 4 2/3 shutout innings and allowed 2 hits. Lagos and Valera retired 13 of 14 batters to finish out the win in game 3.

Thats it for 2052. Waco has clinched. I now begin Spring Training. 5 games to go so time to 150 pitch trash-stat some low stamina pitchers and fill the lineup with anyone on the roster who needs AB to juice development.

Things I learned this year: do not bat Marroquin & T. Rodriguez in consecutive spots in the lineup, or 22 double plays.

A fine send-off to our 2052 season. Top pitching prospect Fernando Moreno, brought up as needed at various times this season, took the gloves off against Waco tonight with the maximum pitch count and no hook...and tossed a complete game on 111 pitches in a 4-2 win. He surrendered 5 hits and only 1 walk, which was the key. He keeps the ball over the plate and he can do great things.

In game 2, Olivera set the single season record for wins, ably assisted by Lujan who tossed 2 2/3 innings of 1 hit ball.

In continuance of "Spring Training" I send out Johansen and his 6 stamina for a 150 pitch start in game 3 and he got pounded lol. 18 hits and 13 ER in 6 IP.

So the 2052 season is in the books at 84-76. Second place and second best RD in the league at +110. .269 Team BA second best and ERA 4th at 4.09. Onward to 2053!

Got swept by South Bend but we finished 81-79, which happens to be my first winning record ever since I took over (2047) and the team’s first .500+ campaign since ‘44. With me cutting Gil for the last time, that means only De Smet was around to see that winning campaign. Overall everyone did a good job, but Wilkins, who magically conjured up a career year, and Flanagan were the big stars, especially Flanagan. Only 10 HR, but hitting .299 with a 71/62 BB/K ratio and 62 steals is really exciting. He gives me Edgar Gil vibes, but faster.

Finished 81-79 and in 3rd place thanks to an impressive hot month to wrap up the season. Glad we didn't relegate in our first taste of a higher level. Now it's time to make some moves to win this division.

Dinos had a good season. We brought in Bellomo at the beginning to help us tread water, and he performed admirably.

Added some potentially nice pieces (Alvarez, Kang) that didn't play so well, but developed nicely and could be future contributors.

Also got 3 of our future cornerstone players (Andrew, Lovato, White) out of the minors and playing.

And a hat tip to our bullpen. Herrera became the closer and was brilliant. O'Neill had one of the best season's ever by a Dino reliever, and we've had some great ones.

I don't know how much longer I'll keep left-handed throwing 2B Cisneros out there versus RHP, but he's getting the team's "Unsung Hero" award this season. Yeah, he only saw 353 AB, and his double-play total was lower than normal, but that .991 fielding percentage has to be recognized. McHugh won the Gold Glove at 2B this season, which is fine I guess. Tons of AB and innings in the field. Sure. But Cisneros should be proud nonetheless.
