Seca Joined: 05/05/2014 Posts: 5197 Waterloo Dinosaurs Legends	Was a hard fought series between Brownsville and Waterloo. 2 games needed extras. Game 1 was a bit frustrating for the Dinos. Been struggling with the old pinch hit / (lack of) replace for defense this season. Tried some things in game 1 hoping for different decisions from the game engine, but to no avail. Felt like a game where if I got to make the substitutions I wanted, it would have been a Dino win. Game 3 started off as an ump show, with 3 different Dino pitchers combining for 5 BBs in the first 3+ IP (all scored). Waterloo kept fighting even tho the big boss thought we were cooked. Really benefitted from our P depth this season - last man in the pen is Turley. He went 6+ IP scoreless. Often our last man is some kid. Dayton next.

The Dinos took their ragtag crew of 11s (6), 12s (7, 2 former 11s), rookies (5) and past prime 34 year olds (2) as far as we could. One look at Dayton's roster suggested that would be a mountain to climb, and that proved correct. Gave it a good go. Gave game 1 over to our closer who couldn't clamp it down even with a DP turned behind him. Game 2 we were simply outclassed in every way. But a good run. Next year I suspect we will return to being mired in the group stage getting stomped by VI bots.
