I have been slowly (and painfully) learning this game. Still not very good at it, but I am happy with this guy that I drafted and stuck with.

Alonzo Ortega
He was a 7th round pick with 12 potential.

Have you drafted any diamonds in the rough?

Not adding to the diamonds in the rough part, but I’m entering my 35th season with the Dinos, and the team has won a total of 2 MVP awards during that time (Larsen and McCarty).

Two MVP awards for Ortega is quite an accomplishment!

Seca,
Your guys were in Legends, and my guy is in LL.5. Being in Legends is a bigger feat in itself than what I am accomplishing. And your team was there for 18 seasons.

The story of your Alonzo Ortega reminds me of the one of Tom Brady in RL.
As far as I see he already had hitting of 13 at the time of the draft, plus the outlook that he can be a very good hitter.
I guess I wouldn't have drafted him because I mostly have no space in my minors after the 3rd or 4th round and because there might be a higher potential on my list than 12. I would have been afraid that his potential would hinder him to reach much higher hitting. In the end we see he reached the max of 20! Really nice!

That makes me hope my original POT 8 prospect will really make it to the majors one day:

He just got his second potential upgrade this offseason.
