I did not know that. Apparently, the US VI is also recognized by the Olympics as themselves...mystery resolved xD

Has anyone else ever passed on a prospect on one of their early-round draft boards, only to see him again on their board in a later round?

I'm sure it would usually be difficult to remember those old names, but with a name like Jim Keck I was able to catch it.

@ knoxvol,

I had Broussard in my round 2 list in 2047. Took Burton instead. But Broussard reappeared the very next week.

It may happen more often than we (at least I) realize. Most players aren't that memorable.

Broussard still can't hit for his life 4 seasons later.

You threaten your prospects with death? Guillotine stashed in the manager's closet?

Seems a draconian policy. :o

Let's just say his metaphorical life on the club is threatened already if he can't get better in key places. He could absolutely get the metaphorical guillotine treatment sooner than later in the manager's office.

I would think walking the plank would be more in character.

@ Seca

Yeah I figure that is probably the case. I only noticed Keck because of his unusual last name.

As for Broussard, it will be interesting to see if he can hit his full potential in the fielding category. If he truly has 15 potential or even 14 there's a lot of room for BC/PD growth.

If he eventually does "walk the plank" as Rock suggested I wouldn't be surprised if there are a few lifesavers thrown his way :)

Oh it will definitely take a while before we drop him, I think. As you said, there's too much mysterious potential hidden there. Though if he still gets more SI every week, but never anything in hitting or fielding, who knows how long it will really take!
