Sadly though this season I had the best batch of international players in recent history, they all were eliminated in the first round or were unable to play.

Guam
Maru Augistin While he has been on the national team for the past 6 seasons, this would have been his first season as a key player on the national team, but sadly Guam did not qualify

Colombia
Ramon Lemus His first time getting selected for the national team, unfortunately he plays the same position as the young Colombian phenom "Double Impact" Iván Zepeda and didnt get a single plate appearance or inning played.

Netherlands
Stijn Martens Had reasonable play as Netherlands 2B (he plays CF for us) but they were swept in 3 by Puerto Rico

Great Britain
Kyle "The Artiste" Balwin The best performance of our National Players, Balwin secured the only win in the Great Britain vs Japan Round 1 battle.

A man, a plan, a canal, Panama.

I would love to see them pull off an upset in the Classic!

FINISH HIM! lol

I can't believe Panama is in position to actually win the Classic with one more victory. If they pull this off, then no one can doubt they earned it with the teams they beat to get here.

You won't find this in the boxscores or the stats, but clearly the difference was the leadership of Panama's Catcher.

Panama really ran the gauntlet, every opponent was class.

Sergio Aguilera at 26 years old made his first appearance for panama this year. 5 games started, 5 QS, 1.87 ERA, 1.188WHIP, an amazing all around player. At the start of last year they had 87 SI, this year 123, for 36 SI gained in a season. That's a heckuva way to make a splash on the international scene.
