Meant to post this a while ago, but has there ever been a worse first round draft pick than "Fabulous" Ryō Kikuchi? At least under the new system? (Maybe there has been, but he's still awful, and my scouts deserve to be publicly shamed for this) http://brokenbat.org/player/241754

Just look at this scouting report: "He will always be wild. He may be limited to only a few innings. He may never get out of the minor leagues." Not to mention that he's 26 years old with a very low skill index, will never have decent control or stamina, and not much positive going for him apart from being "Fabulous"

I had never seen a worse 1st round draft board actually. There wasn't even a single 11 potential player with upside. Or even a no-hit high range 10 potential. It was a bunch of 9 potential duds mostly IIRC.

I had quite a few 1st round boards under the old system where the best player was a POT 11, but I don't think I've seen one topping off at POT 10 yet.

EDIT: Oh, I missed the "with upside" part. I had quite a few boards like that under the old system.

That is quite the dud. I had quite the history of bad drafts under the older system, my worst first rounder being a 10 pot as the best on the board.
