Impy did surprisingly well at 33 yrs old, maybe his best season yet and possibly wrapped up his last post season by taking 3 POTG in the sweep (final game?). He will be HoF and might have another season in him (though I have never kept a 34 yo on my roster before). On a team with .296 avg & .840 OPS, he was the best player with the possible exception of the 23yo Fern. This season he eclipsed 2000 hits (still 27 from team record), topped the team HR record (295), added 57 to his team 2B record and 1250+ rbi (12 from the team record). Being so close to the milestones, I think I will keep him around for at least part of the 2046 season. His heir apparent did pretty well in his rook year and might be ready to take the keystone sack. I am sitting on about $110M, so I might take the sentimental route. Anyways, I inherited Impy in my first season and so I will have to learn how to live without him soon enough, but his shoes are huge. |

The Falcons have a bit of game tape, paperwork, and probably a few year end awards to attend to, but play officially ceased when we won game 5 today to take home the VI.24 league championship. I found it fitting that Hopper got the last win of the year and Henry won last POTG. My two stalwart vets pretty much went goal line to goal line this season during our incredible run. I think that my other hot hand, Gamble, probably edged out Hopper, otherwise he’d have repeated as Cy Young. Not sure yet, I think it will come down to a few votes either way. Depends on if record and innings edge out ERA and WHIP. As for the owner, I’m pleasantly surprised and still a little baffled on how well we did this year. I’ll gladly take it though! |

I didn't realize the player championship awards only go to your active roster at the time you win. I figured it would be everyone who played at the league level that year or at least everyone who logged miles in the playoffs. Figueroa had a dynamite regular season and started the playoffs well but got hurt and I subbed him for extra depth. Broken Bat is being a little stingy with the online championship rings don't you think?!? MLB gives them to everyone who was on the roster throughout the whole season usually right? |

So things turned up roses for me during my first season and I ended up winning my league championship for VI.16.. I rode my starring pitchers all year long, and the league championship was no different.. Nieves, Stahl, and Rodriguez were dominant for me all year long.. here’s my roster that ended up putting it all together for me.. http://brokenbat.org/roster/262 I’m wondering if i automatically bumped to leagues V or is there something else that Broken Bat considers when it moves teams around.. Also, is there a way to see the entirety of league VI? Or can I only see my specific league I’m apart of.. Thanks for all the tips/pointers like all the others said.. |

(I remember my first season back in ’29; I got close and was telling the guy in front of me not to let me catch up because I knew my team wasn’t ready for V at that point.) Promotion/demotion a pretty simple and straightforward process. The league structure is a pyramid, with Legends at the top and VI at the bottom. If you win your division, you promote to the next league up; if you finish in the bottom two, you demote to the one of the two leagues directly beneath you. Simple as that, no additional factors involved. Since you’re in VI.16, you’ll be moving up to V.8 next season (which will happen during the flip over the weekend). You can only see your own league’s teams, there is no way to see the entirety of the league tier you’re currently on (or at least not without going through each league individually). |
