C’mon guys let’s see those late round outlier picks your proud of from the past. Let’s give us all the incentive to clear the roster space and go fishing in the last round of the 2045 draft.

I suppose including picks from rounds 9 and 10 would be in order as well. I’ll check my draft history but I doubt I have anyone worth sharing.

Yuck, I checked and sadly I do:

2041 Round 8, my inaugural season. I was swinging blindly on some of my moves that year. Looks like McFadden not only has kept his control issues in check, but it turning out to look like a fairly serviceable LHP which is quite the rarity in this league.

Woof.

I've picked up a couple POT 12s. Same thing I pick up in the 1st round. This guy a couple seasons ago looked pretty good, but I didn't have room for him at the time.

Best Pick

Records only go back to 2023. So not counting the crazy 2041 draft, I have 21 drafts I can see, with 55 picks from the 8th round or later.

Six players have ever developed to 100+ SI
Two have ever taken the field in Bloomington
Zero since 2027

Bloomington avg POT, Rd 8+
2023-28: 11.6 (rounds 8-10)
2029-39: 10.4 (I feel like user base really blew up beginning in this era)
2040: 10 (1st 8-round draft)
2041: 13.7 (the overloaded draft)
2042-44: 11.6 - since (#8 picks only)

If we are going back that far, I have a few POT 13s on the list. Arnold (drafted round #9) probably being the best of the bunch.

This guy actually could have been OK for LL.VI coming out of the 10th round, except he never got to play any AAA ball and never had any offense behind him.

If you take some of that into account, he could have managed a .500 or better record and filled a roster spot. He probably wouldn't have stuck around long enough on my team to do any of that though now. Danged 'ol "continuous improvement" squeezing out the borderline players!
